Hello

After seeing a trailer of The Da Vinci Code, it looks like it will be a great film.

I have never read the book but know that there has been A LOT of hype about this film and some people say it will rake in more than Titanic.

Will you go and see it?

It comes out on Friday.

Thanks

I am going to be going to see it, really looking forward to it.

Not sure if it'll make more money then Titanic, that will be a very hard task to do.

It's not for me, no interest in the book and for some reason Tom Hanks has started to annoy me greatly in films, it's completely irrational but I spend most of the time I see anything he's in now getting more and more irritated by him :o

I will, looks like a something I would enjoy and I'm interested enough to have it on my list of books to read. The icing on the cake is Audrey, I would watch her read a dictionary.

I'm beginning to automatically switch off any time I hear anything about the Da Vinci Code, because it seems you can't turn on the TV at the moment without another bloody documentary about the "real" Da Vinci Code popping up on just about every channel.

I've never read the book but I probably will go to see the film nevertheless.

Ya see the thing about the book isn't the fact that it's full of religious stuff, it's the fact it is just an average bargain bin book that somehow made it big.

And I doubt the fill is much better - but as with everything lately, it will do well.

Despite Ron Howard going off the boil with his last few flicks - notably 'A Beautiful Mind' and 'Cinderella Man', the source material he's working from means he pretty much can't fail.

I'll definitely be watching, but more out of interest to see what (if anything) will be added to the screen version so that those who've read the book will find something new and unexpected. Just hope it's not a slavish adaptation like some of the early Potter films.

Gotta say, the cast are pretty much perfect. Tom Hanks will do fine, though probably not everyone's first choice for the hero. Audrey Tautou is just perfect and scrumptious all round! :D

Yes, definately. I will see any film Tom Hanks is in, as he is my fave actor, but I have really wanted to read the book, so the fact that Tom Hanks is in the film is a bonus! I will still read the book some day tho...

I read and really enjoyed the book when it first came out - before all the hype started.

I will go and see it but am not sure how much I am looking forward to it as I feel Tom Hanks is horribly miscast as Robert Langdon - he's an excellent actor but not who I'd have chosen for the part in a million years.

audrey tatou should be perfectly cast (and, yes, she's absolutely lovely).
i guess the role of any french cop automatically goes to jean reno, so we can't complaint too much.
