The Da Vinci Code: Cast

She's far too young.

Julie Dreyfus or Juliette Binoche would have been better choices, but there is a strong possibility that those two actresses turned down the role. They are both Catholic

I could imagine George Clooney as Robert Langdon, but do think Liam Neeson is a good choice too. I was thinking of Emmanuelle Beart as Sophie.

I actually think Paul Bettany might suprise you with this... I know most people know him from Wimbledon or Master and Commander, but check out some of his older films... Can do psychotic really well. ;)

I think the casting isnt too bad.. have you seen paul in layer cake?.. i think he is perfectly cast as silas.. big and blond! i agree with audrey and jean reno. I think that choosing Sir Ian as Teabing is perfect as that is who I envisaged as I was reading the book. The description of Teabing as frail thin etc.. is perfect for Mckellen. Still not sure about Tom Hanks though am asssuming Harrison Ford was too old for the role?

It's a bit illogical to call someone miscast until you've seen the film. After all just because you cannot picture someone in the role does not mean they can't...act ;)

People seem quite against Tom Hanks, but I've just started reading the book, and I have to say I can see him in the role... Although... Of course, I did already know Tom Hanks was playing Langdon when I started reading so that might have biased the view maybe... Dunno though... he seems to fit to me... :)
