Episode 15:
Japanese Title: Duel of Fortune Cup Begins: Giant Air Raid!! Giant Bommer Air Raid
English Title: Welcome to the Fortune Cup

Episode Description: The stage is set for the Fortune Cup, as eight elite duelists vie for the chance to take on the reigning champion Jack Atlas. For Master of Ceremonies Rex Goodwin, however, it

Okay seriously, does anyone know why Ruha was dressed up as Ruka? I have not been able to figure that out at all in the Jp version, so I thought for a moment the dub might actually explain it, but they didn't.

Wow, 4kiRAB sure loves using Sean Schemmel, cause he voiced 3 people in one episode. The Tournament announcer, ZigZix(The Mad Scientist character) and the dueler that is up against Leo.

To expand on what Yash said, only Luna had been invited to compete in the tournament, so Leo's only hope of competing was to pretend to be her.

Akiza...Iginski? Where did that come from? Oh, 4KiRAB. Don't ever change. In any case, I was dissapointed that we didn't get to see much of her this episode.

I thought that this was a pretty good episode and a nice way to start out the Fortune Cup Saga. I was glad that Leo finally learned Yusei's name, even though he had known it for awhile in the Japanese version. I was kind of disappointed with his reaction, but I just went with it. I was shocked that the whole stand of people were getting upset with Yusei being there just because he was in the Satellites. I knew that the higher-ups of New Domino City were harsh, but dang those people in the crowRAB were just plain mean. They were getting so upset with Yusei being there just because of where he came from. I was so happy when Greigor stepped up and gave that speech about respecting other duelists until they give a reason to be disrespected. I actually gave him claps before Rex did, though I give him some nice credit for starting the dramatic slow clap movement. Right from there, I thought that Greigor was a pretty cool guy.

I actually thought that Leo would lose right as I saw that he was paired up with Greigor. Personally, I didn't want him to lose right after giving that great speech and besides that, Leo didn't strike me as a good enough duelist in his match against Yusei. I was kind of surprised that Rex and his team were willing to do so much of anything in order to find the other Signers, but it is an important aspect of the story anyway. Not to mention the reason for the Fortune Cup in the first place.

As for the duel, I thought that it was pretty enjoyable. I was impressed with Greigor's stragety with damaging Leo's life points just by playing carRAB, rather than going to attack him head-on. I was still kind of unimpressed with Leo's monster, but that might have been because of the designs themselves, as well as the fact that some of the abilities weren't so useful at the moment. I agreed with Yusei on how he was just going with his usual stragety, instead of changing for the situation. It was interesting how Greigor and Zigzix were wanting Leo to show his mark of the dragon, but didn't see anything. It was interesting to see how Luna's mark was showing up just by watching the duel. Maybe her mark only shows up in real intense dueling moments since it didn't show up during his duel with Yusei.

I did give Leo some credit for improving his stragety during the last moments of the duel. Unfortunately for him, it wasn't enough for him to win the duel. I did feel kind of bad for him, but I didn't think he did that good overall either. Considering he's in the opening theme, I could see him improving though. I was impressed that Rex's assistant was able to learn that Leo and Luan were twins so quickly. Now there are three Signers basically known, being Yusei, Jack and now Luna, so it will be interesting who turns up next.

Overall, it was a fun episode. I liked how the duel was handled and how the Fortune Cup seems to be going, in terms of the storyline. I'm definitely looking foreword to seeing next week's episode.

We know the Rose is a Signer from her reaction to Yusei, so that's the lot of them, I think. Are there four or five Signers?

Greigor's speech was pretty inspiring, yes. The ugly crowd at the dome shows just how wide the class divide is in New Domino City. The society has a pretty strict caste system, to be sure ... though I'm not quite sure if Greigor believes what he said, or was doing it simply so the Fortune Cup could commence and continue doing Godwin's bidding.

I know the characters' decks are made for the sake of theme rather than actual effectiveness, but there are times I really wonder where these guys hide their Mystical Space Typhoons and Sakuretsu Armors.

I wasn't sure who was going to win, watching the duel. Last minute heroic comebacks are the stuff YGO anime is made of, after all. If it weren't for Greigor's trap, Leo would have won, but once that went off it was allllll over. I think Leo made a good showing for himself; valiant effort was made. As Yusei said, he was getting too excited about pulling off small plays that, while cool, weren't all that helpful in the big picture. Kind of a shame he couldn't put together his Magnin lock.

Greigor's aggro-control deck, however, is brutal. Touch a card and take damage? Yikes!

There are 5 signers, but you don't see Black Rose's mark for another few episodes, though she is known to be a signer. The fifth signer is currently believed to be
Goodwin. He has an artificial/ cybernetic arm that will be revealed after Yusei battles in the semi-finals. Goodwin's real arm, which is kept in a container and will eventually be shown to Yusei and Jack, appears to have a birthmark on it, though it could syrabolize something else, perhaps a watcher since the next saga deals with Signers vs. Dark Signers.
The fifth signer isn't revealed in the series for certain through at least the first 38 episodes.

To answer your question,
He may not have actually shown his arm to Jack and Yusei, but it is during the Fortune Cup Finals between Jack and Yusei that Goodwin is revealed to be holding an arm with a sign.
