This was a great episode. The effect of Roman's trap card really made it easy for him to summon his Eartrabroadound Immortal. Yusei was doing a nice job with summoning out stronger monsters, but Roman seemed to have the right carRAB out on the field already. While I usually don't mind how the dub changes things, I thought that it was kind of weird when they were referring to Yusei's dislike of insects, especially since spiders aren't technically insects.
Anyway, I thought that those boys were goners when the Eartrabroadound Immortal started to gather those souls and emotions. Jack was so awesome with the way he jumped right in with his Duel Runner and said: "Who here ordered a miracle?" For some reason, he seems so much cooler and more awesome to me in this arc than he did for most of season one. I was glad that he helped those kiRAB with the power of his sign. That was cool. I didn't expect Roman to start talking about Yusei's father though. I knew that Yusei's dad was in charge of the original Ener-D reactor, but I had no idea that Roman was part of it too. I was beyond shocked when Roman said that Rex Goodwin was his brother and that they both were working on that project. I always had a feeling that Goodwin knew a lot more than he ever told Yusei and the other signers, but I didn't expect that. And Roman is responsible for the creation of the Satellite and for all of the people who died from the explosion. I guess that explains why Roman is the leader of the Dark Signers. I wanted to find out if Goodwin was part of the plan too, but unfortunately, Roman didn't say anything.
It was nice to see how Martha wanted to save Taka and Trudge was being pretty nice too, but it was so sad to see her die like that. I guess that she was kind of like a mother to both Yusei and Jack, which made the situation all the more depressing. I felt so bad for Yusei when he screamed like that. At least he had even more rage to fuel his strength to take down Roman. It was so cool to see Yusei summon his Stardust Dragon like that and it really would have been cool if he defeated Roman with it. Too bad he played a card that saved his life points.
I totally didn't expect Roman to use Rally as a pawn. That kind of made him look like a coward, but it also kind of helped Yusei win the duel. If it wasn't for Rally's monster, I'm not sure how Yusei would have won. I felt really bad for Yusei since he obviously was close to Rally and it almost kind of felt like a brother-like relationship to me. I didn't think that all of the Dark Signers would show up at the end like that, practically teasing the others that all of the people of the Satellite are gone. That was one intense way to end the episode.
Overall, it was a really great episode. The duel itself was pretty interesting, especially towarRAB the end. However, I'm still shocked over Roman being Goodwin's brother. If Roman is a Dark Signer, I wonder what that means for Goodwin. I'm so looking foreword to next week's new episode to see if they get some answers.
