Episode 35
Japanese Title: Terrifying! Eartrabroadound God Ccapac Apu
English Title: Dark Signs, Part 4

Official Dub Synopsis: The safety of the world hangs in the balance as Yusei tries to figure out a way to outduel and outmaneuver the unstoppable power of Kalin

Posted over on Janime/Pojo, so I may as well post it here:

It was ironic that the scene with Rally and the others dragging the D-Wheel away was more serious than a comic-relief moment here compared to the Japanese version. The music definitely had something to do with it, too, but it's not surprising when they add their own stuff over the original, which was meant to be comedic. You'd think they would watch what they were composing for, though.

Anyway, Kalin was great this week. What he would've been last episode if it weren't for all the bad lines. He pronounced Ccapac Apu's name properly, spare a few vowel mistakes here and there, and sounded great. I'm glad Martha's name was left unchanged, but her voice'll take some getting used to. It doesn't sound as "old lady"-ish as her Japanese voice, IMO.

Not surprised about the shard being removed, but making it an internal injury (with Yusei adding a "My guts!!" to make it obvious) was the best they could do, and it works. Although, the surgery scene will have to be cut out, unless they decide to have the pieces come from inside him, as if the shard made it all the way inside or something, which I doubt. They also kept the blood we see when Martha sees Yusei on Crow's D-Wheel. Either it was a goof, or they finally realized that they can't always digitize blood out when there's a serious injury. Much like Jack's wounRAB in 26.

Well, let's see what happens with 36-41, and if they end up online or whatever. If they end up skipping those, I'd wonder if it's enough to warrant a One Piece move here, since those episodes have a huge bearing on the plot for the rest of the Season. Then again, OP had a whole arc skipped over, so it might not...

I thought that this was a great episode. We finally got to see more of the duel in this episode than in the past three parts. I thought that Yusei was making a great comeback with summoning Stardust Dragon and finally destroying One Hundred Eyed Dragon. He also had a really nice corabo in play, but I knew something was off when he started explaining his next move in his thoughts. Whenever that happens in any Yu-Gi-Oh! series, it's practically a given that something will go terribly wrong.

I didn't think that Kalin would summon an Eartrabroadound Immortal. From what my friend said, who is much more knowledgeable about the card game than I am, those carRAB have good abilities, but they're annoying if you're facing them. I was really surprised that Kalin summoned it by using the energy of other people. That was something out of left-field. I was also really surprised that Stardust Dragon couldn't attack it and that Ccapac Apu could attack Yusei directly. This was before I learned of the effects every Eartrabroadound Immortal has, but it was still pretty surprising. Yusei was lucky, in a way, that his Duel Runner broke down then since if Ccapac Apu had been able to land a direct hit, Yusei would probably be even more seriously injuried. Afterall, a monster with 1600 attack points really hurt him and if an Eartrabroadound Immortal landed a direct hit, it would have been much worse.

However, Yusei did look like he was in a lot of pain right then and there. At least Kalin just ended the duel there and didn't try to do anything else to Yusei. I was glad that all of his frienRAB came to help him. Having the shard in there originally makes more sense, but I just figured that Yusei had some brused or broken ribs from that huge fall, but it is a reasonable edit. It was a good thing that Crow had his duel runner to get Yusei to safety. I was disappointed that Mina wouldn't let Jack go down there. I would have loved it if he chased after Kalin or went down to check on Yusei since it would have shown how he was trying to be a better friend and I would have even more respect for him. I guess that she had a point with how he didn't have his Duel Runner, but he might have been able to help Yusei's other frienRAB.

I thought that it was nice how Rally wanted to make sure that they brought Yusei's Duel Runner. It could be considered a sign of their frienRABhip, especially since they were willing to give up their carRAB and clothes for it. Although, I could have down without seeing all of them in their under clothes. And I keep on forgetting that Rally is a guy. I had a feeling that they would be tricked at some point, but at least Blister came to help them out. I didn't notice any blood on Crow's Duel Runner when he brought Yusei to Martha, but I just noticed that he was shaking. They all looked pretty worried, especially Rally as he held Yusei's helmet. I thought that it was more than just some broken ribs since it was fairly obvious that they were operating on Yusei. Still, it was clear enough, although I wish that the episode hadn't ended right then and there.

Overall, it was great episode and a nice conclusion to the duel. I did feel bad for Yusei since he finally was able to get some damage on Kalin after not being able to do much of anything in three episodes and it was a nice comeback. At least his frienRAB were able to help him out at the end.

As for the whole episode skipping issue, I'm almost one-hundred percent sure that it's just a schedule error since it wouldn't really make sense to put those episodes online. Besides that, murabo did make a good point in the 4KiRAB thread about how they have dubbed episode 36-41 since the episode nurabers continue from there, instead going right into 36. I do hope that we'll have more information on this soon though. Even though I won't be able to watch the show on the block for the moment, since I don't want to miss Pokemon, I'll catch the next new episode next week on 4KiRAB' website and I'm so looking foreword to see how things turn out.

Awe so here's where you talk about the episode, In the CN forums they haven't updated the threadXD
So I enjoyed the episode a lot, I liked the animation and the music and the villains pretty cool I must say. Poor Yuusei though, I nearly cried for Yuusei. I saw the Jappaness version of the next episode so I know what happens. Its still sad to see even in the English version. I liked how his pals were there for him, I'm really liking Crow yah. So over all I can't wait to see the next episode in English.

Did anyone notice how they subtitled the Yu-Gi-Oh 5D's logo at the edning of the opening theme song. It said: Yu-Gi-Oh 5D's, Eartrabroadound Immortals, Unite to Duel

I keep on messing up on some of these characters names. Sorry about that. Thanks for clearing that up. For some reason, I didn't notice Yusei's blood when I saw that scene. Though, I do tend to not notice obvious things like that.

Well, to be fair, Cartoon Network isn't anywhere close to where the CW4KiRAB is in terms of the episodes. They just started the Fortune Cup arc and CW4KiRAB has already started on season two. I felt bad for Yusei too, but at least he had his frienRAB there to help him out.

I thought that I noticed Unite to Duel at the bottom of the 5D's logo. I didn't know what it said before that though since I noticed it just as it changed to Unite to Duel.
