I thought that this was a nice episode. It was cute to see all of those kiRAB being happy to meet Yusei. I loved how the story of the bridge was a syrabol of freedom and choice for the people of the Satellite Sector. Too bad that the people of New Domino City wouldn't let them finish it, despite the fact that it was their fault that the Satellite area was created in the first place. I was surprised that Yusei's frienRAB didn't really express any surprised feelings regarding Yusei being an Signer or this war agains the Dark Signers.
I liked how Crow wanted to go and help Yusei fight these Dark Signers. He seems like a good friend for Yusei. It looked like one of the Dark Signers, Kalin I think it is, already knew Yusei. I was surprised when Yusei's mark started glowing like that since it didn't seem to cause him a lot of pain. I didn't think that the other Signers' marks would glow, let alone let them know that Yusei was in danger. I didn't think that we would see Mina so soon for some reason. I did love her fight against Carly since Carly is so cool to me. I love how Carly was being really friendly with Jack.
I was so surprised to learn that Yusei was actually born in New Domino City. I didn't think that Yusei's parents were a part of the first Ener-D reactor that split the city in two. I thought that it was fairly obvious that Yusei's parents died since they did put Yusei in an orphanage. I wonder how Jack learned about this bit on Yusei's past though. I felt bad for Carly since she keeps on getting these great news stories, yet she can't tell them or she chooses to respect people's feelings more than her reporter career.
What surprised me the most was that they acknowledged a character's parents in the first place in a Yu-Gi-Oh! series. That rarely happens. In DM, there was only Joey's parents, Kaiba's parents, in a way, and Mairk's family. Yugi's mother showed up in one episode, but it's weird that we didn't see her that often at all. Parents were practically absent in GX, with the except of Aster, Axel for one scene in a flasrabroadack in one episode, and Jaden's parents were mentioned after they came back from the Dimension world. Still, it was just surprising that the writers had a story involving one of the character's parents.
Kalin looked pretty creepy to me. He was really pale and I probably know why that was the case. Yusei and Crow apparently knew him and it looked like Kalin separeted Yusei from Crow for some kind of intense duel. I was hoping that we would see the start of the duel in this episode, but it did end on a good spot.
Overall, it was a great episode. The syrabolism with the bridge to New Domino City was nice and the bit of Yusei's backstory was great too. I'm really looking foreword to seeing what happens in the next new episode next week.
