The CW4Kids Talkback: TMNT Top 10 (Spoilers)

I don't think anyone has been really upset over this list every time they show a new episode. So far, it's mostly surprised reactions to the choices, instead of anger. At least, that's how I see others' reactions. Plus, I don't believe anyone considered this a definitive list before.

Anyway, I was surprised with the choice for number three. Sure, it's a good episode and all, but I don't really think it was that great. I wouldn't have put it as a top ten for the series. Maybe it could work as one of the best episodes from season one, but even that much be a bit much for it. Still, at least it was a nice episode.

This is exactly the way that I'm looking at this conversation over the list. I'm not losing any sleep over which episode makes or doesn't make the list. Nor am I thinking that anyone else is. I don't see anything wrong with debating which episodes should or should not be on the list.

Alright... so this episode had the best moment in the entirety of post season 5 IMO but top 10 material it's not. Kids these days... they wouldn't know a good cartoon if it smacked them in the back of the head.

I'd actually be ok with that. Both were probably some of the most memorable episodes ever, and if it's the one I remember correctly, Leo got a brutal beatdown in that episode, and the ending left the season incredibly ambiguous. I'd be happy to see it again.

You guys need to stop taking this list so seriously. It was decided by 10 year old kids probably.

Of course kids are going to pick episodes that weren't really top 10 episodes, its to be understandable.

I'd put all the Shredder fight eps on the top 10 list, but really, who cares?

Well this is a good episode and it does deserve a spot on this list for being the first episode. I really wish CW actaully ran a full run of the 2k3 series kids could have seen it and voted on it besides the few season one episodes they saw.

This past weeks episode of TMNT was kind of weak in my opinion and I have a hard time believing that people actually voted that episode into the top 10 of all-time, the previous weeks episode was far better and actually had a strong story to it. FF & BTTS were not very well done and I don't personally feel that any of the episodes from either series should be considered for the top 10, but I guess tastes vary and I suppose someone could have voted it in, but Saturday's #9 was very, very weak.

I hope that #8 is strong, I actually like this top 10 idea and I hope 4Kids does this again soon but with another series that has reached it's peak and is all wrapped up, maybe we will get lucky and see it done with Yugioh or Sonic X at some point!

Eh, I don't really agree with that. Top ten material, Junklantis certainly is not, but I wouldn't call it the worst episode of the series. I enjoyed it more than much of Fast Foward, anyway - perhaps because I don't mind Garbageman as much as many of the new villians in Fast Foward (Triple Threat, I'm looking at you).

While it is a good episode and I could understand why people would want it on the list for being the first episode of the series, I don't think that I would put it as number two. That seems a bit too high for me. Even though this list does feel kind of odd, at least most of the episodes here are pretty good to begin with.

Anyone else notice how the majority of the list is Season 1, Fast Forward or Back to The Sewers episodes?

I think this pretty much proves kids didn't stick around for the best of the 2k3 run.

I think it's more likely because all of these episodes (with the exception of "Same As It Never Was") have aired on The CW4Kids within the last year.

Of all the episodes from Fast Foward, they chose the first one? Come on, if you just had to put a season 6 episode in this countdown, why not chose one of the better ones like Timing is Everyting, DNA is Thicker Than Water, or any random Zixx episode?

Oh well, at least it wasn't a Triple Threat episode.
