The CW4Kids Talkback: TMNT Top 10 (Spoilers)

No matter how long I live, I'll never fully understand how "Karate Island" was voted the best Spongebob episode ever...

Yeah, this list does feel pretty random. Attack of the Mousers is a nice episode and all, but I don't think that it's a top ten list material episode. At least it's a better choice than say Future Shellshock.

The countdown begins today at 10:30 AM.

While I agree, I do think the first free episodes are also, in retrospect, really darn good--not top ten material, but better than anything else until ''Shredder Strikes Back''. It also strikes me how on the ball the creators were, even in the beginning--cartoons usually take longer to find their footing.

Funnily, I'd watched the pilot episode for the original cartoon this week, which shows that show's particular ''meeting April'' scene. For one shining moment, the two radically different cartoons become almost identical.

Also, the randomness of this top ten list makes it ideal for fake internet bets. Which episode do you guys think will be next on the list. Lots to choose from...

I'd be surprised if at least one Turtle Titan episode doesn't make the list.

Given how much 4kids loved those Turtle Titan eps, we're bound to see one of them on there.

Around 9 weeks from now probably.

I really hope Insane in the Membrane got in the top 10 so it can finally air on TV and I'm rooting for Same as it Never Was for #1 but I guess I'd be content with it being in the top 10 period. Yeah... I think I'll watch that episode again soon.

While not really one of my ten best episodes (I'm saying this alot) i can see how this episode got a lot of votes and made it on the list. it was A a huge cameo fest and B it was the series finale (With the exception of Turtles Forever) so I can see why it got so many votes.

Really if Reflections, Junklantus, or any Triple threat episode makes this I will snap.

That episode makes me sad everytime I watch it. It was the end of an era.

Why did TMNT 2k3 have to end? It had the story potential to go on for over 200 episodes.

No, "Turtles Forever" will be the end. I'm not willing to accept the "Wedding Bells" episode as the end, it wasn't a good enough episode to be the final one.

Tales Of Leo definitely NOT a top 10 episode. This would probably be my top 10 (listed in chronological order):

-Shredder Strikes Back: Part 1
-Shredder Strikes Back: Part 2
-Same As It Never Was
-Exodus: Part 1
-Exodus: Part 2
-Bad Day
-Scion Of The Shredder
-New World Order: Part 1
-New World Order: Part 2
-Tempus Fugit

Thanks! I think it's helpful to have a running list so people don't have to hunt through post to find out what ep. made it where.

Actually, rewatching this episode as it aired, I've got to say it was easily the best episode of back to the Sewer, and in some ways it was even comparable to some of the episodes from seasons one to four. Between all the cameos and some good emotional moments, plus a great final battle that all the main characters participated in, I feel it was a very acceptable ending to an awesome series, and far preferable to having a cliffhanger ending. :)

The only things I had a problem with were relatively minor. Mainly that the Acolytes (or whatever they were called - havent watched Season Five since it premiered a while ago) seemed underpowered, Letherhead's replacement voice wasn't good, and Karai and Chapman (two of the most important characters) got the least amount of cameo time of any of the characters. Still, with all the other characters they had to fit in, it's understandable that corners had to be cut somewhere, and it really could have been far worse. :p

Why so? April and Casey finally tied the knot, the Turtles finally defeated Shredder for the (possibly) last time, they've made amends with allies and former enemies, and Serling most likely returns to his time considering Cody had fixed the time window in time to view the wedding.

It may not be perfect, but it sure seems like a good enough ending for me. I guess it can be Top 5 material, but not this high.

Yeah, that was a nice episode to start out with. Although, I also don't consider it a top ten material episode. Maybe top twenty or twenty-five, but I didn't think it was that good. It was nice to see those memories from their childhood though.

I agree. While some of the characters were underpowered since fighting all of those Foot ninjas shouldn't have been such a problem for the Ninja Tribunal, it did feel like a solid conclusion to the series. I would hope that that was the last time the Turtles would face the Shredder since after defeating Utrom Shredder a few times, having him banished, and killing the Demon Shredder, Cyber Shredder didn't feel like that much of a threat. Or it might have been that I was tired of seeing the Shredder reappear after they thought that they defeated them again.

I don't think that it was a perfect ending, and those kinds of endings are hard to find anyway, but it felt satisfying enough for me. It was definitely better than a cliffhanger ending that a lot of animated series have had before.

I actually think that this episode is top ten material. Not only for seeing all of the cameos coming in left and right, but it did bring a nice sense of conclusion. Plus, I thought that ending with April and Casey getting married was really sweet. This was definitely one of the best episodes in BttS, but I think that I would have placed it at number seven and then place "Same As it Never Was" at number five. Even so, it's still a nice episode to put on this countdown.
