The Curious Case of Benjamin Button - Because You never know what's coming for you

I love this movie....

I was talking with my mom today a bit about it. I mentioned the DVD was coming out and then we started talking about Penelope Cruz in Vicky Christina Barcelona and whether she deserved the Oscar....I told her no way! Not compared to Taraji and Viola's performances in their respective movies....

Made me really want to rewatch the movie just talking about her performance...

oh this movie was sad as he started to get younger.. it was funny in the beginning when he was the old man but then he started getting younger and he was looking SEXYYY!

Yes I did know  I want to read that now.

Weird how none of us are Brad fans but we all agree he was amazing

I saw this movie in theaters with my boyfriend. He hated it, I loved it. lol Is it on DVD yet?

I'm glad some people agree with me :woot:

LOL But yeah... did you guys know CCOBB is a short story by Francis Scott Fitzgerald?? he also wrote the great gatsby!

I saw this film at the weekend and I absolutely adore it, truly amazing, and I'm not usually a Brad Pitt fan but I thought he was outstanding.

Rachel, I completely agree. I was never a huge Brad Pitt fan except for Fight Club but this movie made me fall in love with him. Not only his character, who was one of the best movie characters imaginable, but Brad himself. I never realized how good of an actor he was and ..of course he is freaking beautiful. I mean those shots of him on the motorcycle.

But this movie totally changed my life, it is so special to me. There is just something so amazing and real about it. And Daisy and Benjamin's love story is epic to me in so many ways. I would tear up randomly at the movie because it was so beautiful, their love, and heartbreaking at the same time. Gahh, their love story is so amazing

I love this movie.

I'm not a huge Brad Pitt fan and this made me realize I should be. Yeah I liked him in Fight Club but in TCCOBB, I LOVED him. I thought he brought something to the role. Plus, you know, he was nice to look at, lol.

Thank you for this!

I loved this. I'm always obsessed with time, about the temporary nature of things, about how humans are supposed to be stable and consistent while stuck in an ever evolving, changing, dying form - how you're never the same day after day.

So this movie absolutely fascinated me. One of the things I loved the most was the obvious, but emotional, "we met in the middle" piece of dialogue between Daisy and Bejamin.

Also, Benjamin's sense of beauty being about the spirit, although Daisy is of course a stunning beauty, but she's more than that and that's why he loves her and had an affair with Elizabeth as well.

The mother/son relationship between Benjamin and Queenie was the highlight for me. What passion and bond, unbreakable and responsible for keeping them both alive for a period when they were both on the margins of what they wanted their lives to be. :sigh:
