The Curious Case of Benjamin Button - Because You never know what's coming for you

this movie was very long but very different i enjoyed it its picked up when he started to get younger

Ty ty!

GAH I know me too! Ive seen it twice already and there were parts that made me tear up but the ending both times just made me...:bawl: And even thinking about it makes me sad..It really is a beautiful story, one of my new fave movies hehe!

It was definitely sad. It woudn't have had the same impact if he was a grown man when he died. Him being a baby though... That makes me cry

It's beautiful!

I cried and cried and cried. I got home with tears in my eyes, but it was a beautiful story, couldn't help it. Haha.

Exactly! He was super scary in Kalifornia. I watched 12 Monkeys sooooooooooooooooooo many years ago, that I don't remember it anymore, but it's another example of Pitt's diversity as an actor. He's not as quirky or ethereal as Johnny Depp, for example, but he's a chameleon in his own right. He has so many tools and faces and personas. His performance during the first hour of Benjamin Button was especially great and touching. Plus he has chemistry with everyone. Brad Pitt is amazing.

hehe thank you! I found it on livejournal somewhere!! Gah I love them! :sigh: Did this movie make anyone else bawl? :bawl: LOL!

I was such a mess during the last 10 minutes. I had tears rolling down my face and I felt so silly, but I couldn't help it. Hee.

It was quite a striking image of Daisy holding him.

I couldn't agree more.

And I don't get when people say that he's not a good actor. I mean, hello? He has played so many DIFFERENT characters already. He doesn't just play the PRETTY roles.. I mean, take Twelve Monkeys or Kalifornia. :D

I think Brad Pitt is a very underrated actor. I don't know if it's because he's so pretty, but I do think he should be taken more seriously; he can do everything and do it right. This movie is an example of his range, IMO. He was lovely in it. This wasn't an easy role or an easy movie to carry, and yet he sold it so effortlessly.

first of all i want to say Pitt's got a great new look in the first part of the movie. i mean look at Leonardo DiCaprio. he was the same type as pittt. a handsome Mr.charming. but he knows a pretty face is not an advantage when it comes to winning an Oscar. so he chooses movies that do not feature his face like aviator and the departed. but pitt seems to care so much about his sexiness. that is not the way to a best actor. look back at the past twenty year, no best actor in a leading role is exceptionally handsome( at least not so in the movie that brings him the award). so if pitt wants a best actor, he has to" disfigure himself"( because he is too sexy). he did good in the first part of TCOB, but in the rest he is simply too handsome.

I loved the scene when she danced for him but he was still 'too old' for her and walks out, she's left all heartbroken. That scene was beautifully shot.

His performance was outstanding in every way!:sigh:

Ohhh, when he kept getting younger, my friend and I were in awe. It looked incredibly natural and real, plus the mirror image of Daisy getting older made it so painful in a way, yet kind of beautiful.

^I agree to 100% on this! I love the movie and Brad definetly deserved an Oscar!
