The Culture Of Fear ?
So it seems that we are living in a culture of fear.

Before it was the Islamic terrorists and now we see this economic crisis that engulfs the whole world.

My point is that we understand less and less what is happening. Personally, the more I read about this crisis the more I get lost.

do you feel we are living a moment where fear is being used against us?

Don’t you have the feeling that besides our personal fear, there’s an atmosphere of doubt that is imposing this world of crisis to us?

I would like to hear your opinion on collective fear

Fear is an economic tactic, always has been. They use our fear to bend our minds into buying things into supporting irrational things we would never do. We live in a culture of fear there is a book by that title which was good go get it.

The media wants usto be afraid of everything, as if people were meant to live forever. Read Nation of Fear...it starts out kind of slow, but when you get into the plot it is very interesting.

Media wants us to be afraid of:

plastic
cars
our bodies
each other
the government
other countries governments
microwaving (heard that on the new last night)
having kids
wearing high heels
pitbulls
"radicals"
and what the hell is an insurgent?

A comedian once said ...this war in Iraq, who is it against? Do the other guys have a uniform where they can be identified? No! They are dressed like regular people....
