I live in a county that claims it doesn't have a noise ordinance. I called the police one night on a complaint and they came out to my house and told me straight up there are no noise ordinances here. All they can do is come out to my house every call but can't do anything about it. I live out in the country, but in a small trailer community where neighbors are close by. The trailer community is not owned by anyone...It probably was as one point, but I think everyone now just owns the properties if that makes sense...its not like a normal mobile park.
Do state noise ordinances cover counties too? It seems like not having any rules or laws here would be reckless. So far it seems like I'm living in some third world country where everyone is allowed to reek havoc.
Then if our state has noise ordinance laws for certain times, why didn't the police give the home owners a violation or something then? Do I have to actually print a copy of the law and call them up and show them the law for them to do something? Or do I have to call the state police?
