it's the latest update re the sequel. and they talked about there would be NO IO in the sequel and, in a recent interview, gemma herself confirmed she will not be in the movie. :yay:

interesting too that they've described andromeda as a "warrior queen" this time. reckon we'll see her in battle scenes. :woot: there's our arwen/eowyn thing right there.

however, and this is the worse part of the news for me.. THEY'VE RECAST ANDROMEDA. :bawl: alexa's been replaced with rosamund pike. nothing against rosamund since i love her as well but it's just completely unnecessary since alexa did an amazing job with the character already. and alexa just seems more fit for this particular role since andormeda will be a warrior queen this time. fight scenes seem to be more of alexa's thing than rosamund's.

but blah whatever, perseus/andromeda otp etc. i'll take what i can get.

I loved Alexa in the Chronicles of Riddick, and i want to see more of her in the next Clash of the Titans, she definitly need, deserve to have more actions ;)

Yeah, Alexa totally deserves a bigger role. Gah, I love characters like that. Know how to put up a fight but without losing their composure. That scrams Andromeda. Aww, that scene where she's giving bread to the poor. And when she goes to the sacrifice without thinking twice, such a diva. :bawl: And the way the tears fall when she's hanging in there. Alexa totally rocked.
And Alexa&Sam seem like such good frienRAB, at least by all the premiere pics. They're always together and cute while doing it. :sigh:

Oh, and it totally makes sense. The Arwen and Eowyn thing. Aaah, don't put ideas in my head. :lmao: Need it NOW.

exactly. i hope they follow through with the original planning of having io be some sort of shady character not because to get rid of her being the love interest but because it would be interesting for her character considering her backstory. it would totally make sense. and andromeda is a brilliant iconic figure and it would be amazing if they pay homage to her by giving alexa a lot more action in the film.. not make her a she-male warrior type but the steely queen just as she was the steely princess. like an arwen.. with a tiny bit of eowyn mixed in. if that made sense. i really wanna see perseus become king, lead his people to victory, along with his queen.

Yeah, that thing about the new guys being disappointed because it wasn't faithfull to the original can be a good thing for us.

They match too much to let it go to waste.

i'm not sure but i hope so. i hear they hired a completely new crew for the original but they're getting the same actors for the same roles. and i hear the new writer's hugely disappointed with the remake because he's a big fan of the original. so there a big possibility he's gonna write is as perseus/andromeda. *crosses fingers and toes*

I'm TOTALLY for Perseus/Andromeda too. Have been since the moment I saw the trailer. I was so so sad when I came off the movies =/

And I think I'm sadder now. To know they were going to be the couple but WEREN'T. WTF? WHYYYYY?

Is there a possibility they will be together in the sequel?
 
you're right! :nod: i'm hoping for that as well. that way, people won't be able to say that they wouldn't make much sense as a couple. if anything, it'll be io and perseus not making sense especially after that article came out.

by the way, HERE's the b-roll clip i'm talking about. them filming the kissing scenes starts about the second half of the clip.
 
Thanks for the reply and hoepfully future movies will see more of these two. Maybe it can be a blessing in disguise? So we can have a slow burn romance and not one of just, I have to save her and they automatically fall in love?

no, he didn't necessarily "end up" with io but romance is implied between them and they're both in the end scene.

perseus/andromeda was actually originally written in the script (i can post the b-roll footage if you wanna see sam and alexa while they were shooting the kissing scenes) but apparently they scrapped that in reservation for the sequels. and i hear io's going to be a villain. YAY! :lol:

Love the pic in the op! So I haven't seen the movie yet but I will because I love Sam and Alexa, and I was looking forward to seeing Perseus/Andromeda since I know about their love story you can add me. But apparently in the movie he enRAB up with Lo? ::confused: What's that all about? Weird.
