What was the "Cold War consensus" in American society and what were at least three factors contribution to its break up.
I understand what it is; I can explain that. But I do not know factors contributing to its break up. One that I've already found was the Vietnam War--in that Americans seeing the immense damage done in Vietnam, realized that communism really wasn't the actual reason for the war and thus leading the Americans to feel less threatened by communism.
I just need 2 more reasons/events/factors as to why the "Cold War consensus" broke up.
