That's fine, when the clutch is fully disengaged (when you've got your foot on the clutch pedal and it's pressed to the floor) it's not touching anything so there's no wear so it's perfectly fine, you can even sit through stop lights while stepping on the clutch without any additional wear, heck sit through a drive through movie if you want. When the clutch is fully engaged (when you're not touching the clutch pedal) there isn't much wear either. Clutch wear really only happens when you are slipping the clutch, when it's partially engaged, say to get started or shifting.
