The Cleveland Show gets a second season pickup

I was always under the assumption the Peter was the third favorite in FG, after Stewie then Brian. I also feel like Roger is American Dad's Stewie but most people I know don't think it's as funny because he's an adult and as an alien he's not really unassuming. Steve is quickly becoming the star of American Dad anyway.

I don't think Fox is green lighting this because they expect it to be a smash hit. It's obvious they're doing it because they want to have enough episodes to give it a decent shot at syndication even if it fails. No channel will want to buy a show with only 13 episodes.

Looking at the clips, this might not be half bad. It still has some elements that seem terrible, but it seems to get the 'classic sitcom parody' vibe that Family Guy slowly lost and replaced with 'toilet humour and pop culture'. It probably won't be the best show ever, but with any luck it'll seemingly have clearly defined characters.

That's for broadcast syndication. Most shows never get that far. I'm talking about for a cable channel like TBS or Comedy Central. They would want a show with a decent episode count.

..More then likely The Cleaveland Show would get picked up by Adult Swim who sometimes picks up shows with 13 episodes or less. Plus Comedy Central has many shows that only 30 episodes or less so they could too. But why would Comedy Central pick up The Cleaveland Show...there main cartoon creators (aka South Park's people) don't even like Family Guy?

Eh, they're notoriously disliking of Family Guy. Cartoon Wars sound familiar?

Though I'm not sure they would *leave*, but if Comedy Central picks up a show by Seth, this screams "Parker and Stone pissed."
