The Cleveland Show: Effort Into Animation?

Does it seem like there is a little bit more effort put into animating The Cleveland Show? What I'm asking is if you think The Cleveland Show (American Dad can be thrown in this question as well) is less stiff or possibly a lot less stiff than Family Guy?

Keep in mind that American Dad and Cleveland Show are animated by three different companies, Underdog Productions and Person Unknown Productions/Happy Jack Productions, respectfully.

Either way, I have noticed that both of those shows have more fluid animation. It's subtle, but it's there.

And you need to also keep in mind that those shows you listed aren?t real cartoons, they are ANIMATED SITCOMS,hence on "animated"

Writing carries these shows, not visual gags.
It would be the same even if it had live action cast.

I don't see how that makes it any less a cartoon.
That's like saying Japanese anime aren't cartoons or animated movies based on comics/comic characters aren't cartoons.

Comics ARE cartoons.Single panel comics are cartoons too.
Tehnically speaking Cleveland show/Family Guy/American Dad only fit the term "cartoon" becouse of the highly stylised characters.
But exept that there isn?t anything cartoony about those shows.
No visual gags, facial and body expressions, parts drawn from different perspecitve, charcters are flat and stiff instead of organic etc.

They are just cardboard doodles put to motion.
Maybe Im subjectivly speaking here, but they aren?t cartoons for me
They are hardly animated sitcoms.

Well.your question was already answered.
It depends on the creators and if they actually care how their show visually looks.
If they think their writing is the only thing to keep their fanbase,then...good for them :D
Only part of improved animation you could look forward to is those grey thin shadows brought from the Simpsons movie to the new episodes.
Cause it was the only thing they could do to enhance the volume of the characters without changing their design to fit more fluid animation.

@Jeepers: This thread is from March 16th. I'm not sure why you felt compelled to bump it, but your opinion would be better discussed in a thread outside of this one. So if it's going to continue let's stay on topic, please.

@ThePRPD: I feel the same way about The Cleveland Show, but as M.D explained they are animated by different companies which does make a difference in the animation quality. I think The Cleveland Show and American Dad both have better quality animation than Family Guy.

Overall, I feel like there's more effort put into "The Cleveland Show" in general. I think the writing quality is better, and there's more consistent characterization too. Family Guy is too hard for me to watch sometimes because Peter Griffin's character is too inconsistent so it's nigh-impossible to identify with or relate to him. (What's worse, he's the title character.)

But Cleveland seems like someone you might meet or know in real life, and he's one of the main reasons why I like the show so much.

I thought he'd only work as a sidekick type and never imagined he'd be able to carry the show as the lead character. I'm glad I was proven wrong.
