The Cleveland Show - "Cleveland Live!" - Talkback [10/3]

Before anyone asks: the two Rallos at the end is meant to spoof the fact that when it comes to younger kids on live-action TV shows, twins are usually casted for these roles due to the laws limiting amount the time a kid under a certain age is allowed to work in a filmed project.

Well, it was a pretty unique approach to a season premiere. Unfortunately, they took the parody aspect too far and went straight into snarky, unfunny territory.

I did like Cleveland falling off the stage though, as well as the live theme song.

When I saw the commercial for this episode I wondered if it was really going to be live and how it'd be pulled off...

I thought it was a very funny episode.

For a 'live' episode, I think it was pulled off fairly well. Loved the jabs at American Dad and Amazing Race in the opening, even if I no longer watch the latter. I think I found the concept of them attempt to do 'live' cutaways was funnier than the cutaways themselves, but it still made them enjoyable regardless.

The funniest part, though, had to be Roberta drinking and complaining about her B-plot getting cut. Most likely a reaction to viewers complaining how Seth's girls always get the short share of plots (Roberta along with Meg and Hayley).

Good stuff.

I wonder if this was first a regular episode but then they decided to make it into a "live" episode to make it more entertaining. If that's the case, it's an improvement.
