Personally,I think it's basically an afronized FG clone that lacks one shred of originality or creativity .Macfarlane can get away with 3 animated sitcoms with identical family structures, but Mike judge has his "new" actually original show canned and his classic replaced for this crap?Wheres the justice?I like American dad its has development and depth unlike what FG is now (watered down jokes & animation) I don't want see the same try to be edgy joke thats been killing cartooncoms

sorry for the rant, but I want to know what others think

It quite literally the same old thing different location.

Husband of medium to low intellegence.
Housewife that's very sexual.
Oldest daughter who is used so little lord know why she was put in the series in the first place.
Oldest first born male who's a lost cause-This one bothers me the most because Cleveland Jr is now an combination of Chris and Steve. What was wrong with keeping him as a skinny black with ADD? Seth just writes himself into these walls. Stray from the path a smidge, anything you do is golden anyways!

I won't bother with the baby brother only because that one was skipped in American Dad.

How do you know that the daughter on The Cleveland Show is underused when the series hasn't premiered yet?

I'm not defending the show or anything, but the teenage daughter on The Cleveland Show seems to be one instance where it's actually different from Family Guy. The teen dughter is nothing like Meg or Hayley. Based on what I've seen, she appears to be more of a "hot" girl in the mold of Connie DiMicco.

I wouldn't call The Goode Family original. It was basically a rehasing of King of the Hill minus the charm. It also followed the same "family sitcom" concept as every other animated comedy in primetime. From what I've heard, Judge didn't really want to do the series in the first place and had pretty minimal involvement in it outside of the pilot.

A lot of us don't know what to think since a lot of us haven't seen a full episode yet.
And you shouldn't compare Mike Judge show to Mafarlane'a, since it aired on and was handled by a different network.

Well, if I recall, American Dad had cutaways early on, but as the series progressed, the cutaway gags were phased out as the series started to get out of the Family Guy mold. The same could happen for Cleveland once they find their footing.

That's because when the show started production, Family Guy was still cancelled. Once Family Guy got picked up for a 4th season, the writer's took the show is a different direction to seperate themselves.

No, no you don't. You want everyone to agree with you.

If you wanted some debate it would've been best to wait until The Cleveland Show actually airs a few episodes. I've seen the first episode of The Cleveland Show, and it was mediocre, but it wouldn't be fair for me to judge the entire series based on that alone.

Take that link down before you get an infraction. I posted it, it was deleted.

Trying to save you.

Anyway, I thought it was pretty funny. But I'm just a hardcore FG fan.

Yes that's is true,I do want everyone to agree with me always & I'm pretty sure that's obvious

but I realize that there will always be people who disagree with me.I know some people will like this show.No group of people will always agree.I was curious about what other people felt about it

That's why apologized for the rant, I'm aware I'm very opinionated
