Good episode, although I can't help but note the hypocrisy in the Tubbs' attitudes. When Cleveland lied about killing their dog to protect the children, he was vilified but Donna expected him to think nothing of her lie to Rallo. But I realize this is a MacFarlane show and plot and continuity isn't a strong point, so I'll let slide.
I loved the FG references. They can't do it all the time but once in a while is okay, and I'm glad they're not trying to retcon the idea that Cleveland lived in Quahog for most of his adult life.
Cleveland and Cleveland Jr.'s relationship is creepy.
Roberta is starting to take on shades of Hayley's attitude. Maybe it's a side effect of having a poser of a loser for a boyfriend. Maybe Meg should count her blessings that she's unattached.
And the scene with Rallo's dad coming to his epiphany was awfully rushed. Of course it's just a half-hour show, but it seemed obvious they were striving for a less-than-cruel send-up of old-fashioned holiday specials where the magic of the season touches everybody (not THAT way) and to really do it justice, they needed a little more back-and-forth time. Rallo's dad did just kind of roll over for Cleveland, but then they lampshaded it well with Cleveland's "of course I did, it's my damn show" line.
