They've said that VODT will be more of an adventure film, so it should be "lighter" than PC. The release date was horrible......the execs from Disney have actually come out and admitted as much. It also didn't help that they promoted it poorly. It's almost hit the $400 million mark, so it's still making money, but I don't think it will make the money that LWW did. Still, as of now, both films combined have made more than $1 billion dollars!

Saw it yesterday evening :sigh: it was really great! I liked it a lot much better than the first one and Bennn

me three, guys. i am and forever will be a hopeless romantic. i probably wouldn't care if it wasn't nicely done.. but the way they did it in this movie.. it was soo.. sooo.. innocent and pure and sweet.. i couldn't help falling for this ship. :)

well im hoping the DVD comes out sooner than December. i've been watching Prince Caspian once a week since it first opened....and im afraid ill keep watching until it no longer shows on theatres  okay..that won't happen..but i can't wait to get my hands on the movie.

I saw it again tonight for the 3rd time. I`m in love with this movie, and the first one as well. I saw this one before the first one, so I was REALLY confused, but then I saw it, and enjoyed 10 times more. :D
William Moseley is an AMAZING actor, and I`m sad that this was his last Narnia flim, but it will be great seeing him in something new.

cool! :) yeah..i love Prince Caspian and i only paid twice out of the 4 times i watched it so its all good!

I just heard that they changed something . . .

[sp]CASPIAN AND SUSAN KISS WHAT THE HECK?!?! No way! I hate when when they romance-it-up-Hollywood-style and change the story. I guess I am overreacting but URGS![/sp]

But anyway, I'm still looking forward to this.

Reepicheep reminded me of Puss in Boots too! I whispered it to my mom in the theater.

I too keep thinking how weird it will be not seeing Anna and Will in the next film. I mean, I knew it was coming but it will still be sad that they are gone. I love this cast so much and I don't want to see it split up. :( Good thing Ben is in the next one, for my own sake. :) Lol.

 I agree; I've read all the books and I watched the movie... I think something was missing from the first one, and I hope this one is better :D

Oh man, that looks like it would have been a great moment! Hopefully they'll have deleted scenes on the DVD!!

Me too!!!

Thanks, I'll do that. :D

Exactly. I agree.

What about the book did you dislike?

Prince Caspian was #1 this weekend, making $56 million in the U.S. :D

okay so i didn't really give a full review so here it is!

as a fan of the books, there were many changes in the movie and important things that were omitted...but i try to keep the books and the movies as two separate things..and try to enjoy the movie as it is. soo this is just my take on it without the books involvement...

ill start off by saying that the music, the costumes, the scenery, the action, the cinematography was off the charts! they outdone themselves this time from the first movie. it was definitely more epic, and exciting!!

the narnians, especially the animals were adorable as usual. im a huge fan of the beavers in LWW...and i loved the mice in Prince Caspian just as much!

King Peter: i was disappointed in him in the movie. i mean i understand he's been through alot with the whole war thing back at home...but i expected more from him. i loved him in LWW, but not so much in PC. is ego was bringing out the worst in him. other than that, he was awesome in all his fighting scenes. very savage

King Edmund: loved him. he matured quite nicely. and some of his lines were hilarious! he has become a warrior himself. very impressive.

Queen Susan: she has grown up as well. i love that she has become quite a fighter. i think her subtle relationship with Caspian (taking an interest in boys) definitely shows how much she has matured.

Queen Lucy:
always the believer and i love her for that. the others were beginning to lose hope in Aslan and in Narnia...but not Lucy and i'm glad she was able to prove them wrong.

Prince Caspian: god, he's a hottie :P i can watch him over and over again, its ridiculous. definitely charming, fit for a king. it is no wonder susan is into him.

the action was great..but it felt redundant at times. i was hoping they would leave room for more character development. even with Prince Caspian/Susan...i kinda wish they did a lil more of that. i like that their "romance" was subtle and not over the top. but i was hoping for more. i wish prince caspian had more interaction with the younger pevensies as well.

speaking of Caspian/Susan, i understand that many fans are upset by it...but i felt it was needed. you have this really epic movie with amazing fighting scenes..and a handsome prince who is trying to restore narnia. it just makes sense that Caspian and Susan would be falling for each other. i thought Susan's horn symbolizes some kind of connection between Caspian and Susan. she's there to help him...in return he helps her...and in some way..she begins to believe in narnia again through him. the kiss in the end was cute. it's not over the top or anything. it was sweet.

fantastic movie over all! i watched it twice already, i plan on watching it the 3rd time next weekend. LOL. i can't wait for the DVD to come out.

yeah, it irks me that PC isn't doing so well in the box office compared to LWW, and i find PC the better movie out of the two. they should've kept the original date (Dec 2008)!!! wayyy too much competition in the summer. what were they thinkin really? lol. well..the Narnia movies do well overseas though. but i doubt PC will even reach or surpass LWW's numbers. its only been a month and its definitely struggling in the box office.

yeah... he does look cute. I've never seen anything with him before.

[sp]I havn't read the books, but isn't Susan part of the next movie? or she's in the books but just doesn't go back to Narnia?[/sp]

that's cool. i'm only looking forward to seeing the previous cast, especially Ben Bares. i'm sad that Peter and Susan won't be in it...but at least we still have Edmund and Lucy. hopefully it will do well considering that PC didn't do so hot in the box office (compared to LWW). i know its not because the movie sucked..bcuz i thought PC was better than LWW. it was a bad decision on their part for releasing PC in between Iron Man and Indiana Jones. so much competition this summer.

i wonder how the tone for VODT will be. LWW was more light and magical as opposed to PC which was obviously a darker and more epic film.

Kenjigirl- Thanks, I'm glad I enjoyed it too. Really glad I wasn't the only girl who was a hopeless romantic for Caspian and Susan. lol. Makes me feel a whole lot better.

Well I got the soundtrack! I absolutely love the music. I could not believe it was Regina Spector who sung the song at the end. My creative writing teacher two semesters ago, introduced me to her music. And then it's great that Switchfoot has a song on the soundtrack as well.

Had a question, does anyone know the music that was played when the kids first arrived at Narnia? It's a very soft song with lyrics. Don't know what the song is called but I loved it.
