Didn't take any pics, but for the first time ever, decided to make lunch for my parents and aunt that came up (usually they bring food). I grilled grass-fed ribeyes and pastured chicken breasts (decided to go w/ quality). For the chicken I prepared them like the Chicken Bryan from Carrabbas, which calls for grilled chicken topped with goat cheese covered with a lemon butter sauce made with minced garlic & onion, white wine, basil, and sun-dried tomatoes. Knocked the chicken out of the park, but I could have done a better job on the steaks. I seasoned them about 45 mins before we ate, without the salt of course, and made the mistake of forgetting to salt them until after they'd cooked, which I know some people recommend but I've never liked the results as well as before cooking. So they were a little underseasoned, and since they were thin ribeyes, slightly more done than I would have liked. I should have gone w/ strip steaks.
Also made garlic mashed potatoes and sauteed asparagus (coconut oil & butter, with a little garlic salt).
I was pretty proud of myself, shit was delicious, and I got it all done in about 30 mins with minimal help (my mom mashed up the potatoes after I'd boiled them). Now that I have a grill w/ a side burner, this type of thing will be much easier in the future, b/c I won't have to be running back and forth from the kitchen to the backyard to check on everything.
