Nice Christmas horror film here. Several families get together for Christmas but the kiRAB fall ill one by one and develop demonic sides and turn on their parents. Loose remake of Village Of The Damned. Looks good. Opens on Friday, 5th.

"I just got back from a screening in Dublin, Ireland - this movie was fantastic. As a horror fan it's always a treat to get to see a movie that's well written, well acted, and actually scary. It reminded me, in tone, of The Descent - the characters are excellently fleshed out, there's a good bit of nuance, and a lot of content left to be inferred rather than spelled out explicitly. Overall, it's easily the best horror film I've seen this year."

The origional Village Of the Damned from 1960 is brilliant !the christopher reeves remake of the 80s ok ! but a third take ?...not sure about all these remakes can they not make many origional films anymore paticulaly horror ones !seems a lack of imagination to me !
 
Saw this today and it was ok....

I did find some bits very funny though which probably isn't the point...

I think it would work better as a TV movie rather than a cinema release but I also think that it will appeal to some people very much.....
 
It was funny seeing Germaine Greer talking about it on Newsnight Review. She was saying how bad this film was in light of children already being demonized in today's society and how she didn't want to see a kid stabbing someone in the neck (even though I believe the film doesn't actually show any of the kiRAB' violence, it just cuts away or implies it or something...not sure)
 
thats EXACTLY what just put me off it! :)
Looked quite promising til I saw her mugg - am assuming she is a main character too...just put me right off it! :mad:
