i'm into auto mechanics and i love cheerleading i'm also a dance teacher at a local dance academy.

all of my life i've been told "you can't work on cars with us, your a girl, go play with your kitchen or something"
=/
my brothers make me so mad! still to this day they try that.

i work with my uncle on his two mitsubishi's.

but i really need to know, is it so wrong to want to work on cars? or should i stick to cheerleading and dancing?
i've been working with my uncle for over 3 years now. i do know what i'm doing, or close to it. i'm not perfect and i do need my uncle's help. but i'm basically out to prove the stupid monkies i have for the sorry excuses of brothers that girls can be just as good as guys if not better! we're smaller and more flexible and we fit into tiny spaces and we can put our bodies in weird ways to be able to get the job done faster and more efficiant.

so ... keep the pom pom/megaphone and pointe shoes and tutus or keep the wrench and oil?

Don't listen to them, they are just trying to protect their manhood. If you want to work on cars, go for it. Back when I was in school, you would have been my dream date, a cheerleader that would on cars with me!

you can do both. be different and do what you love. it doesnt matter what people say.

Girls can be a mechanic. and a good one at that.

You really can't make a living at being a cheerleader.

If you like it do it.

you need to be realistic in your choices, for example do you have the manual skills to work on cars? Many guys who want to do it cant because of a lack of manual skills. so if you can and you want to why not? i meet a girl a few months ago and she was the chief engineer on a ferry and she looked so cool in her overalls covered in oil!!

It is not wrong to work on cars! Don't stop doing what you love! I have always been really good at video games and I love them! I used to go on Xbox live and the guys would be like oh what are you doing on here you are either ugly or nerdy or a loser who has no friends and you must suck just because most girls wouldn't be caught dead playing video games. Instead, I beat them and proved them wrong. Now I have a lot of guy friends on live and if anyone puts me down I just beat them to prove to them that I am not just a weak little girl. Stereotyping is wrong and so is being sexist so do what you love and don't let others stop you!
