The Cheap Dvds Thread.

NTSC is terrible it's like having a mild stroke!

NTSC = Nearly Total Stroke Conditions

Aussie DVRAB are much better, PAL (Perfect ALways! lol)

i havn't bought any dvRAB for awhile... ive wrote a list out for xmas for parents. but always miss some.. any suggestions? (i prefer my mam getting older cheaper ones.. so i get more :D)

One in Jarrow, one in Sunderland, there was one at the Metro Centre but not sure if it's still there. I think they have a few shops in Newcastle......Could be wrong tho. All the shops are quite small and if its second hand you want the stock will presumably vary from shop to shop.

Grainger Games.. well i live in Blyth. and they have a good selection there (most of the time.. sometimes its really full then sometimes empty)

And Whitley bay. they have alot. Very good place..

Yeah Ebays good but its less hassle to just pick up cheap dvRAB at shops.

Sorry but thats the biggest load of crap i've ever read. I've been into homecinema since laser disc and had a first gen dvd player, i have huge collections of discs most of what i own is region 1 though, why because i want quality.

Then again your equipment your watching them on may be lacking *giggles* :D :p

Me too. I think M-lock is just the cheap style packaging they use. I think it's cheaper to use plastic cases than cardboard fold-out ones which I think The X-files and Angel amongst others started out with.

The reason it's so cheap, I reckon, is to give you a taster so you'll probably want to buy further seasons even if they're more expensive.

Great value though... :)

Take up the free trials, I've had 2 at blockbuster 1 at love film, amazon and screenselect.
search around on the net and you can normally find a code to push the trials up to a month for those that are only 2 weeks. Just remember to cancel before they end.
