The circumference of each sprocket is given. rear sprocket C=12in.
front sprocket C=20in.

the chain going around is 10 in on top and on bottom. 20 together.
the radius for the rear sprocket is 1.91. the radius for the front sprocket is 3.18.
a. About how long is the chain?

b. On a chain, the teeth are spaced in 1/2 inch intervals. About how many teeth are on this chain?

please help me.
thanks you all
OMG!!!! THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!!!!!!!!

How long is the chain?

It wraps halfway around each sprocket (if it's tight), so half of the 12 inch rear circumference (6) and half of the 20 inch front (10). I *think* it says that there is a distance of 10 inches between sprockets top and bottom, for a total of 6 + 10 + 20 = 36

How many *teeth* are on the chain?

Chains do not have teeth; sprockets do. Chains have slots or holes that the sprocket teeth fit into, so perhaps the question should be "how many holes?" Since the chain is 36 inches long and there are two holes per inch, I would say there are 72 holes.
