The Caveat on the Hawks/Bombers Game?

Game still in progress...Hawks up by 12 goals or more.

I called the loss and I expected a blowout. Without mentioning our own form, I have been saying all year, the Hawks are a very good side.

So the Hawks are almost at the level of Geelong and a level below the Pies. Agree?

They could easiliy reach the GF, with an outside chance at winning it.
EDIT: Right Spud, the schedule says the Top 2 is set..but I rate the Hawks a good chance to beat the Cats head to head.

I look ahead cautiously, particularly when matching Collingwood. Hawks last night played balls to the wall football and just ran the Bombers off their feet. You could see Luke Hodge utterly spent even at half time as an example. However teams like Collingwood and Geelong require a different strategy in which to negate them.

The injury to Rioli is probably four weeks at worst, no biggy and Sewell could miss two weeks perhaps. Even without key defenders like Stratton and Gilham, the defence is still holding up well. It is good though, plenty of youngsters are getting a gig and more often than not they are performing well. Things are looking a lot like the Baby Bombers of 1993, if i may be so bold, at this stage.

Yes they probably will make the gf in. They got lucky against the eagles at home and was just 1 straight kick away from beating geelong couple rounds ago. Hovever they are a strong team and are capable of changing the game in minutes as we have seen a lot of time this year. With players like Shiels, Savage, Smith, Franklin, Birchall, Mitchell, Hodge, Rioli etc..

Hawks just won by 65 points:) massive hawk fan!! and as for collingwood hawks can beat them but for geelong...the day paul chapman retires or isnt playing in geelongs match against hawks we will win!

Essendons play has become way to predictable. in turn they just made the Hawks look good. it was quite obvious that Watson was not 100% fit right from the start. so he had little influence on the game for the Dons. reckon the Suns could have rolled them last night.

There is still 10 rounds left before the real use of the "f" word begins. i have seen teams stricken with injuries fail to finnish before. i wouldn't go placing any bets on Hawthorn just yet.
cheers.
