so, I'm writing an essay on "The Catcher In The Rye", my main topic is Holden's "special kind of fall" (as Mr. Antolini tells him during their conversation). I also want to involve Holden's breakdowns (his ideas to run away and start a new life in Vermont. life with surrounding society, in which he can "fit in") and his thoughts about phonies (what he thinks about them and how he "plays his life" according to it's rules, responding to what Mr. Spencer told him about Life being a game and all). I really don't know how to start my essay and what to say in my thesis.. just to tell you, this is my very first Essay and I want to make it as good as I can. hope you can help me out..
