1. what is the role of women in the novel?
2.what does this novel reveal about the time period during which it was written?
 
Good Lord! Are young people still reading that book? I read it about 50 years ago and for the life of me, cannot remember anything about it! (Although I remember it was "relevant!" at the time!) Gosh! I need to get a copy and reread it. Maybe I can get back to you on this!

In the meantime, get the Cliff's Notes...(Do they still make Cliff's Notes?)
