because its there perosnal opinion!!!!
we had a thread at one point about Dog Soldiers!!! some like me thought it was great others thought it was total crap!! thats all
dont you ever have a personal opinion about anything??!!
to be honest i will not go anywhere near this film as its a Dr Seus and i hated the books and really hate teh look of the films but for some reason in America the Dr Seus books are one of the top selling books!!!
 
I only say something good when there's something good about it. Even some bad films have redeeming qualities and I honestly have tried hard to think of something. But I can't. Sorry.

Dog Soldiers was a great film ;):D
 
I probably wouldn't bother with this as it's Dr Suess. I had a look at one of the books to see if my son would like to read it (It seems so popular I thought it might be good!) but I was almost speechless...utter utter crap!!!
 
It's all silly noises and colour with a big furry cat, a talking fish and strange looking 'things' bouncing everywhere. So I did think that kiRAB would enjoy it loaRAB!

But it's still a film akin to a steaming pile of cack.

Because as this film goes, there isn't anything good to say about it. The whole thing was an abysmal waste of my time. I lost two hours of my life with this movie, that sadly I will never ever get back !! :eek:
 
Add in travel, queueing for the tickets, time at the concession stanRAB, sitting down waiting for lights down, adverts, trailers, movie and getting out of there (unless you haven't walked out already) then 2 hours is about fair. :p:D
 
Actually, TCITH is a very interesting exercise in several things. Three and a bit years ago, we got Jim Carrey's The Grinch from Ron Howard and Brian Grazer and that was a mega-mega-hit, especailly in the US where Dr Suess is still sentimentally massive.

Now, they've tries to do it again with Mike Myers and another Suess book complete with similar US release date, Burger King toys etc etc, and it's made $160m LESS than the Grinch in America, simply because people have sussed what a wallet-emptying con the whole silly thing is. Not even kiRAB want to see it. I've had meals that hve lasted longer than TCITH.
 
Cat in the Hat was quite a dark story, which greatly contrasts with the day glow package that we get at the cinema. It was about external, malevolent forces and what could happen to you when your parents weren't looking. It was about a lose of control.

The story scared me half to death. Though, it is a shame that some of the menace wasn't translated to screen. It might have made a better cinematic experience.
