Aw thanks for the hug . Yeah he did look a bit messed up in the beginning but he has been through alot so I can understand him looking that way

I loved this movie. It was so intense, the bad scenes had me cringing and closing my eyes (ESPECIALLY the dog scene, I went and hugged my dog, too.) but It was SO well acted and written!

I saw the movie a few days ago and I liked it very much! It was very thrilling, sometimes confusing but interesting aswell. :)

Yeah. Didn't like the movie much, but I must applaud Amy Smart's performance.

And I totally agree ocean _soul. :) I couldn't take Ashton seriously, cause of my obsession with T7S. To me, he seemed a little lost throughout it all. But, considering he's a comedic actor and not one for drama, he did an okay job. I thought he wasn't as bad as some critics made him out to be. *shrugs*

This movie was good! Sad, though. I almost burst into tears when they just walked by each other.

And I got so frusterated when all of his lives went wrong. Grr...

i suppose it is good that they have showed 2 different endings gives you a decision

This movie is so awesome. Very freaky, effects were great, Ashton did awesome in a serious role.

Although I felt that the movie sortof revolved around him trying to protect Kaylee. If you really looked almost everything was about her. Oh well most movies are, but this one was still awesome.

Btw, my friend Vicki opened Butterfly Effect fanlisting, if you really like the movie you should join!

Theatrical ending is so much better, IMO. The directors cut is way to sad for me and for Melora Walters character and for Evan as well. Just didn't fit for me. Yes it was shocking but very happy they didn't use it.

I finished watching the movie's DC cut about 20 minutes ago... I've had the movie since it was released on DVD back in 2004 and I never posted what I thought about the theatrical version... Odd.

Well, here's my take on this movie... Two years later. ;)

This is a REALLY good movie, in my opinion. Ashton actually did incredible well and I was constantly thinking about how awesome the cinematography was.

The theatrical version I haven't seen in years but the DC I watched minutes ago and I have to say that the fortune teller scene gave me CHILLS. I was spooked (the "you have no soul" thingie  ) and the ending made me tear up because just the thought of a baby, of somebody realizing that the only was to make the world better is to not exist! And to be able to make that sacrifice, it's so deep and not in a good way, but it's a movie and I have the liberty of seeing "depth" outside the real world boundaries.

I thought the Tommy kid was really disturbing and insane. The actor that played him did a great job though at that.

What's your guys favorite/worse scene?

My favorite would probably be the scene when they were at the movies as kids and Evan follows Kayleigh out of the threater and told her that she was really beautiful and they kissed. I also like the scene were Tommy wasnt insane and he was helping Evan out from not trying to drown himself in the tub.

My worse scene was when he was in jail and the scene where Tommy was going to kill Evan's dog.

I saw the Director's cut of this movie....It ends differently...I don't think I like it.

I must say, the previews are intriguing. And I'm lovin' that they're being accompanied by Staind's "It's Been Awhile". Ashton even seems dramatically convincing ...

yeah life doesn't always end on a good note, but still.

yeah but with a movie like this that deals with some bad things, I still didn't feel warm and fuzzy unside with the theater ending, I was think about the movie a for a while after I watched it. The the theater ending still makes you think even if it was happier then the directors ending.

Ah, okay. Thanks. I must admit, it does look interesting. And for once, I say this in a good way. Even though Kutcher looked like a hobo in the beginning two seconds of it.

For me it is Demi

And I don't think he is acting when he plays goofy - I think that's just him - this movie could prove me wrong though.
Does anyone have an offical movie description? Coz I am in Australia and I haven't heard anything about it...

Okay, I'll tell you guys about the Director's Cut ending. I thought it was amazing (though I haven't seen the Theatrical Release yet).

At the end Evan wakes up in a "mental institution" like his father. Also, like his dad always asked for his pictures but never had any, Evan asks for his journals. The doctor tells him there are no journals and that his brain is hemmorging(sp?) and he will soon die (I'm pretty sure that's what happened). Evan has his mom bring him home movies and he watches one of them. It's of his mom about to give birth to him. He's transported into his mother's womb. He then proceeds to tear apart the ambilicle(sp?) cord to kill himself. He does this because if he was never born Kaleigh would never have stayed with her father, and her brother wouldn't either. Their lives would be normal and in turn making his other friend's life normal (sorry I forget his name) because he would have never known any of them. And his mom would never have to go through the pain of losing her son. The movie ends with him killing himself before he's born. And showing clips of his friends with happy childhoods and Kaleigh getting married. Very emotional I think. A very selfless thing he did for his friends. It makes me tear up just thinking about it. I thought it was brilliant. Definitely a must see.

You should watch it all. Yes, it is confusing at the beginning but you learn more throughout the movie.

mh67511- There's only two scenes thats new in Director's Cut.

I really like the movie....except for the end. When I read the post that said in the book he went after her I felt much better but I'm still angry. He should've went after her.

Otherwise, the movie was soooo fantastic. I absolutely loved it and I'll be looking for the book.
