The Butterfly Effect of C4

I'm so confused... I first saw it on DVD and it had a really sad and meaningful ending...

...completely different from the one they just showed on C4??!!!

Does anyone know where I can buy the theatrical version of the film on DVD? I've looked all over the internet and every one says 'Director's Cut' and I cried my eyes out enough with the normal ending! Lol.

Anyone? Please?

I tought there was too much children stabbing each other there wouldnt really be that many messed up kiRAB all together
but it was clever

I've got the directors cut.

I remember seeing it at the cinema and then when I got the DVD I was really confused and was thinking "Hmmm I don't remember this part happening" but I think I prefer it to the theatrical one - especially after seeing it again last night.

I think the theatrical version makes the ending too "nice", sometimes I don't want a nice ending to a film.

IIRC the R2 dvd is the same as the R1 in that both endings are included.

However,on the R1 edition its possible to watch the film with either ending included as part of the film.

On the R2 its possibly just an extra feature

It was v.weird as I watched this film a week ago and then saw the ad for it on C4. I thought it was a great film and that Ashton Kutcher really excelled in it, even thought there was no comedy. I loved each story in it and thought it was brill. Thanks for posting the different endings, I had no idea that there were 4 endings, I knew there was a directors cut DVD but did not know it was different to the t.v one. My fav is the t.v one as they are all still alive but still not 100% nice as he does not follow her and therefore still ties in with feeling sorry for him. The DC one, I thought was too weird and too upsetting to keep watching even time I see this film! The other time were nice but had never heard of them before, they were medicore and I understand why neither were choosen!

saw this film last night and it rocks.
it's one of the best films i'd seen from modern hollywood in along time.
didn't know there was a director's cut and 4 endings  better check them out.
I quite liked how we got to see so many alternate time lines, usually films only feature a couple, but this showed many.
are there any more unseen time lines in the Director's cut?

I see that there was a sequel 2 years later, has any one seen that.
it sounRAB good, but the DVD has very few extras, was it a straight to DVD film?

No problem. I prefer ending #4 myself.

The directors cut didn't work well with me, as if he never existed in the first place, it would have left her to be abused etc. #3 was ok, but a bit too cheesey and obvious. #4, however, leaves something to the imagination - he follows her, what happens next is up to the viewer.

In all, whichever ending, it was a very good film - a clever plot and, for me, was enjoyable thoughout :)

My brother wanted to watch this movie when it was on on saturday and i thought i would hate it but i watched it with him and loved the film. Im gonna get this movie on DVD soon now :D. The ending that was on channel 4 is the better ending i think.

Only if you can get hold of an early rental copy. I have both :D

Or the Australian version apparently has both films on a double sided disk version floating around. I say, apparently as this came from the imdb forums.

There was a straight to DVD sequel of sorts. Different character, same sort of idea.
Awful pile of .....
It's very dumbed down and the lead manipulates the 'gift' to erm get laid a lot. It's like the Scary/Date/Epic Movie version of the original
