I'd never even heard of this before I watched it on movies4men2+.
A long, international tv production recounting Hitler's last days. All the usual suspects are present: lots of familiar British actors as Nazis, compulsory appearance by Martin Jarvis, token Americans (Richard Jordan doing his best to present Albert Speer as the good guy!) and plenty of "Ah, Herr Himmler, how are you today?" dialogue.
All is forgiven though, when Anthony Hopkins lets rip as Hitler in one of his best and probably least seen performances.
He captures the declining lunatic perfectly and manages to look just like him without becoming a caricature. If all you've seen of Anthony Hopkins is his more recent work and his panto turn as Hannibal Lecter then this will be a revelation.
