If you could build your own cartoon block what would you name it and what would you air? Let's say some fantasy network called "Toon Central" contacted you and said "We need you to do a cartoon block from 7-10 on Monday and Wednesday nights, you can pick any cartoon ever made and you can give it your own look and feel, name as well!". Your budget is high as well, so wraparounds and bumpers could be great. So....what would you do?

Toon Central's A.T.O.M. (Awesome Toons Of Majesty)

7.0- Viewer's Choice of any Cartoon Cartoon from the 90's
7.5- Spectacular Spiderman (NEW)
8.0- Total Drama Action(NEW)
8.5- Ben 10: Alien Force(NEW)
9.0- Viewer's Choice of any Nicktoon from the 90's
9.5- One Piece(NEW)/Naruto Shippuden(NEW)- Viewer's Choice

Bumps would be an atom bouncing around turning into different characters for each show.

Love the name and the idea fornthe bumps, the shows I'm on the fence on. I love Spectacular Spiderman and Ben 10, never liked 90's Nick and am unfamiliar with One Piece and Naruto, but all in all good job! Great name!

PRIME TIME
7:00 King Of The Hill
7:30 The Simpsons
8:00 Family Guy
8:30 American Dad
9:00 South Park
9:30 Space Ghost Coast To Coast
The bumpers would have flashlight animations like in those Sprint ads.

Alright, here's my concept. Though you won't mind if I extended a little more do you?

9:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.-X-Men Evolution
10:00 and 10:30 p.m.-Naruto

And my bumpers would be filled with music by Rob Zombie and trippy, Saw-styled, fast paced editing over the the various clips from various shows. Of course, other bumpers would have the same kind of editing like the bumpers the Sci-Fi Channel used to have when they air any movie for their own weekday nights even right down to the same music.

TOON CENTRAL'S ALIEN INVASION

7:00 ALF: The Animated Series (MON)/ALF Tales (WED)
7:30 Ben 10 (MON) /Ben 10 Alien Force (WED)
8:00 Transformers G1
8:30 Invader Zim
9:00 Ruby Spear's Superman (MON)/Superman The Animated Series (WED)
9:30 Men In Black TAS

With custom bumpers for each show, including some of the show's VA's voicing their own characters for some of them.

Toon Central's Decade Block
Similar to U-Pick live, you vote for what decade of cartoons you want to play throughout the day. The most popular cartoons from that era would play.

For 1940s, we'd play Looney Tunes, Disney shorts [Mickey/Donald/Goofy], and even Popeye.

For 1960s, we'd play The Jetsons, The Flinstones, and Yogi Bear.

For 1990s, we'd play Ducktales, Animaniacs, Rugrats, and Ren and Stimpy.

For 2000s, which we're in now, we'd play The Powerpuff Girls [early 2000s], Spongebob Squarepants, and Fairly Oddparents.

I would call it Fluffy, and it would rock. Bumpers would be fan-submitted animation of awesomeness - it'd be a mini film festival! :D

7:00: Animaniacs
7:30: Kablam!
8:00: Freakazoid!
8:30: The Tick
9:00: Invader Zim
9:30: Gintama

Gintama should probably be on later to avoid the soccer mom drama, but this is a fairly oddball line up as it is - doubt many of the younger viewers would get it, much less stick around that long to watch it. :P

I'd make a shojo block, since most toons are aimed at boys (shojo is aimed at young women). I'd include

PPG (probably first on the block)
Full Moon
Sailor Moon (maybe an hour of this since it's popular)
Tenchi Muyo (closer to the end)
and Trinity Blood on occasion (the manga is a shojo, and it would give some needed action, but because of the short length it could be aired as a special)

any other show for young women (sorry, I haven't watched many). I wouldn't have it heavy on the pink, though. I wouldn't stress "girl power" or anything like that, but I'd make it appeal to females. Maybe every once in a while I'd get a movie licensed (Miyazaki's come to mind) for variety. Sorry we women aren't heavy into action but we do have taste. :p I guess I would call it "Ladies Night" or the like.

The block is called MDX, sponsored by Mountain Dew, cause Dew is that good. The look of the block would have a Mountain Dew like them of course.

MDX - Mondays
:

7:00.pm - Darkwing Duck
7:30.pm - Beast Wars
8:00.pm - TMNT (2K3+)
8:30.pm - Shaman King
9:00.pm - Sonic X
9:30.pm - Invader ZiM

MDX - Wednesdays:

7:00.pm - The Batman
7:30.pm - Batman Beyond
8:00.pm - TMNT (2K3+)
8:30.pm - The Spectacular Spider-Man
9:00.pm - WitchBlade
9:30.pm - G Gundam

Pretty much an action block, it'd start out as a rerun block until the block could gain some footing and has more financing available to acquire NEW shows.

TMNT is also on both days because it has the most episodes, that and the show fits in with the Comic book theme I have going on Wednesdays. Though G Gundam doesn't really fit into the comic genre unless you count the manga, but the show just works better in the middle of the week than it does at the beginning.
