The Breakfast Club

Two more great 80's movies starring another great 80's actor John Cusak are Better Off Dead and One Crazy Summer (also starring Demi Moore). Both of those movies are hysterical.

Oh and I can't believe I forgot this movie. Another starring John Cusak , Say Anything. LOVE IT!

I have those on DVD too, I love them too, again as you say, maybe if I was female I'd enjoy them more, though I don't know I enjoy lots as it is.

An American friend of ours had never heard of The Brat Pack, after she watched The Breakfast Club and I mentioned about the others, but then she was only 17 at the time and I'm in my mid 30s.

Doesn't matter - great find! Think I need to go trawling imdb to remind myself of long forgotten films (I found Girls Just Want to Have Fun in WH Smiths ages ago for

 never heard of the Brat Pack! Mind you, I am also approaching a certain age and am finding it very difficult when people talk about studying the films for coursework! :D I watched them (& still do) for fun!:)

Thanks for tip on Some Kind of Wonderful - I'd ordered it online from hmv & it turned up yesterday I think - will watch it while I'm ironing this weekend  - might keep me from falling asleep!:)

Cheers - will look out for that tomorrw then! I'd forgotten about that film - will be nice to catch up! :) Thanks for the heaRAB up on the book too - will add that to my birthday list! :D

I didn't see or know of Better Off Dead until a few years back. Great movie.

Say Anything is probably the Cusack classic of the 80s (the ghetto blaster scene!) but my own favourite 80s Cusack flick is The Sure Thing, which is one where he travels across country with a stuck up college girl he sorta fancies to California to get laid via a gorgeous sure thing his old dorm buddy has set up for him but he hand the college girl fall for each other and end up getting together.

That one's my fave - but he's carried on making good films (Grosse Pointe Blank, High Fidelity, Being John Malkovitch, Identity...), that's why I think he's a legend!:)

Can anyone tell me the David Bowie quote at the start? I know it, well I know the last line is 'They are quite aware of what they are going through'.

The Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles, Pretty In Pink, Some Kind Of Wonderful, Shag all excellent films aswell as.......

The Flamingo Kid and one of the classic films

THE OUTSIDERS

now this is a film and a half cant seem to get it anywhere though and my vhs version is worn out anyone know where i can get The Outsiders from?? :)
