The break up

Thought it was really funny, though the funniest bits were in the trailer. Thought the two actors worked really well together but I would have preferred a different ending, that's just my taste though, the ending did suit the film.
 
Just got back from seeing it and really enjoyed it.

There was a good ten minutes when I actually had the biggest lump in my throat :o

I know what you mean about the ending but it kinda sets it apart from the usual 'rom-com' type of film
 
I enjoyed it, despite the subject being a little to close to home at the moment.

Very different from the usual movies you get out of hollywood and I agree about the ending, however, i think it was the best way to close the film.

Worth a watch, not hilarious, but good enough.
 
I really thought this film was poor.. It doesn't go anywhere.. wow.. vince's character realises he should "give alittle".. the end.. It REALLY REALLY drags...

Save your money..
 
I really had no expectations at all going into this film. I went with a mate and he reallly really wanted to see it and we both came out of the cinema thinking how bad it was.

There are good points eg You do buy them as a couple at the start but thats about all thats good about this movie

I really thought it was a bad movie otherwise, and it seems so stupid a couple we see to be getting on fine then breaking up because they wont say one sentence to each other that would really clear things up.

Maybe of course this film isnt aimed at me!

BTW Ive never experienced such hostility from a crowd at the ending of a film. Multiple groans and strong profanity were common amongst a lot of the adience (myself included) It really is a cheat to have us as an audience invest in these characters and then not to actually resolve anything.

Give this one a miss......
 
Watched the movie - i have to say its not something i would want to watch again

Wait for it when it comes on tv or something - save your money
 
I have seen this movie and love it, jen is great but i dont like vince cause he is always the same in every movie he has been in. The rest of the cast are great and this is jens best movie along with office space and the good girl.
 
went to see it tonight and i loved it! its defiantly one of jen's best movies yet. I've never really wanted to see her movie's more than once but this one i do! in the bedroom scene when brooke is crying i was nearlly crying too! it was so sad :cry:

i agree the ending was very dissapointing for me. i was just waiting for it to show them getting back together! afterwarRAB in the car i said to my mum "vince is so much better looking than brad pitt!" lol :cool: :p
 
only one highlight for me and that was with the guy who kept suggesting to vinces character he should beat some other guy up..

other than that, same old same old
 
I went last night to see it and enjoyed it. Don't think many guys would like it tough. I didn't mind the ending, i'm glad they didn't get back together. Sometimes life's just not like that. Did make me cry though but i think that's because it was too close to home for me at the moment. Don't know whether i would have cried otherwise. My friend who is happy in her relationship enjoyed it, but didn't well up, but it got to me. All the things she was saying to him I could hear myself saying!! :(
