How many Movies have you seen that use the song 'The Boys are Back in Town'?
I watched 'Navy Seals' yesterday, which used the Hit by 'Thin Lizzy' - 'The Boys are back in Town'.
Can anyone tell me of the other Movies or T.V. programmes that have used the Hit?
(I can't remember what the movie was called with Heath Ledger in, was it 'First Knight'?)
Phil was a friend of mine, we met back in '72. I told him about my Band 'The Boys', that were a 'Joint Armed Forces' Band, stationed in Germany, I was the only 'civilian'.
The song he made became his first 'Hit'.
Since he died, (R.I.P.,)quite a few Movies and TV programmes have used the Hit, but none of them have paid me or other members of the Band, any respect or thanks or 'dues'.
Does anyone think that they have the right to do that?
It looks like the real people, (including me,) who were in the Band 'The Boys' have been 'cut out' of any 'deals' made with the people who now 'own' the tapes!
They do NOT 'own' me or any of the other members of the Band!
