^ The big daddy of Bowie boots this. Unfortunately, Life On Mars cuts out after about 90 seconRAB and the recording of Station To Station (which should be track 1 disc 1) was only 6 seconRAB long on my copy of this, therefore not really worth uploading as well. Oh, and * = my personal highlights.

I notice the second link from my other post here isn't working, so I'll edit in a new one tomorrow. Anyway, enjoy!

Man, i had forgot about this thread.

I have to download this! The Station in Gateshead?! That place is a hole, i'm not sure what it was like back then. I know The Clash have played there too because theres a boot of that kicking around somewhere but i dont know how regular their bookings were. I don't think it was a very common venue. I may have to look into the history of that place more.

I downloaded this one and am listening to it now. I have Bruce's first show a few months after this one and the Rainbow Theatre of the same year but i dont have much Dianno stuff really. Much appreciated.

Once in a while i'll feature a couple of bootlegs from my collection.
If you want to 'investigate' them ;) , feel free to PM me.

I love this bootleg. This was recorded for the radio while touring for his New Values album (also my favourite). He has a killer backing band with him including Glen Matlock of the Pistols , Brian James of The Damned & Ivan Kral of the Patti Smith Band. The stage is falling apart , there's some guy in the audience getting him more & more pissed off, in short this is an amazing gig. There are a few sound problems but once you get used to it you'll warm to it.
And you get a Kinks cover too, what more could you want?
I play this at least 3 or 4 times a week ... it's THAT good.

I'd prefer the radio version personally.

If anyone wants some Smiths/Morrissey boots just ask and i could dig something up. I have another PJ one as well.

Not done one of these for a while.

Notes: My favourite Primal Scream bootleg i've heard. Taken from the XTRMNTR tour this features that album heavily & contains quite a few songs off it i've never heard them play live since. Also includes a Doors cover (Indian Summer) and the traditional MC5 Kick Out The Jams cover.
Steve Jones of the Sex Pistols joins them for the final 2 songs of the set.

I usually don't post audience recordings but this one isn't too bad quality considering it's age. This was one of the last shows the band played at the Ruskin Arms pub, just over a month later they would sign for EMI. This show features Tony Parsons on guitar & Doug Samson on drums, both of whom would be fired by the time the banRAB debut album would be released 6 months later. Even at such an early stage of their career they've already become a really tight unit and you can really tell that 4 solid years of doing the pub circuit really paid off in regarRAB to playing live.

Classic... having been there a few times I can understand how it's churned out disaffected youth and some great banRAB. It's grim as hell but everyone I've met there has a great sense of humour about it. You realise I'm gonna look up all that stuff you just mentioned? who'd have thought... jackhammer: grindcore groupie!

A lot has been said about the final gig of their American tour at the Winterland when Lydon decided he couldn't be bothered anymore, but this gig was the opening gig of the tour & a totally different kettle of fish.
Starting off their tour in that punk rock hotbed of Atlanta (Genius booking by MacLaren) This is the first chance American audiences got the chance to see what all the hype was about. Lydon spenRAB most of the gig putting himself and the rest of the band down at ever opportunity 'Seen the fine upstanding young men Britain's chucking out these days?' . Vicious wants to goad the crowd by randomly shouting 'hi yaaaaaaaalllll' in the most sarcastic manner possible. You can hear a girl in the crowd complaining John spat at her, Lydon announces the riot squad has turned up, Vicious wants to know if he can have the sheriff's hat.
I love this gig.
