The Blair Witch Project

I didn't like it. Most of it is annoying American teenagers bickering with each other, and who wants to watch that?

Also, it's not really self-contained. I liked it a bit better after I went on the internet and found out more about the background.

Also, the basic premise didn't work for me. It never felt like "found" footage. Plus I'm not really into that style of horror. I want to see what's going on.

That said, it has some good moments (especially the end), and the basic background story is intriguing.

It was massively overhyped at the time...but as long as you don't go in with expectations or preconceived ideas (which I didn't) it's well worth a watch.

It's not easy to make a faux documentary look convincing but I think they did a decent job....and it was actually quite creepy in a less-is-more kind of way...using not much more than a shaky camera and some clever sound editing.

It was okay. Nothing special but not anything I would call "bad" either. But I didn't find any of the characters likeable enough. I didn't care about any of them - this is a big problem I have with modern horror.

The end scene was good though. Quite effective. I found it chilling, but I scare fairly easily!
