Just watched it on dvd again last night on my own in the dark and it still has the power to scare me shitless, I guess its because I get more scared by the psychological stuff and I have a wild imagination so I dont need to see anything on screen scary to be scared, the reaction of them being trapped in a dark forest alone scares me. I still shudder at that last scene of her screaming in the basement and if you watch the curse of the blair witch documentary first its even scarier.

I find it more atmospheric, then scary.
its kind of like Lost, the fear of the unseen.
The bit at the end, when there looking around the old house, is quite tense and the guy standing in the corner was a nice touch.

Yes this film i think is scary, the ending scared me. The beginning i thought was a bit boring and slow, but it all started i think when Josh went missing. Very good film i think it also should be watched in the cinema, on the big screen to make it scarrier, you know what i mean.

its a so so film.. however the big 'scare' is in the ending.. how ever has other ppl have mentioned.. for you to actually understand whats going on and be scared you have to listen to the interviews the kiRAB do near the beginning of the film..

This is where they find out that the blair witch makes the children stand in the corner of the room facing the wall while she kills the other child!

So when they get to the house at the end.. and she finRAB her buddy stood in the corner facing the wall.. then BLAM shes hit..

I will admit that at the end I just thought.. mehh.. then when driving home I thought about it some more and I really did get unsettled and a little scared.. and Im a bloke!

Even thinking about it now the hairs on my neck are standing up.. crazy.

Got to say the first one is boring just full of swearing, if i want to see that I would go to the local pub. But the second one was much better.

not scary, just unsettling... particularly the ending... which a lot of people seem to misinterpret as "just a bloke standing in a corner, what's scary about that?!" :p

the second one was a steaming pile of excrement though...

You have to watch 'The Curse of the Blair Witch' first to fully understand why he's in the corner and whats about to happen to Heather  - though if you listen to the interviews near the start that also explains it but not in as much detail.
