The best race track you have ever been.

Whow guys, very interesting experiences....teach us how NOT to get into those kind of environments. I think I should start another post called "how do you avoid an highside"

mate do yourself a bigger favour and go to phillip island in oz, you can then dodge seagulls, wallabies, geese and numerous other wild life on the fastest flowing track around, you will need to bring big kahoonas

I am lucky enough to race cars on the European circuits. The trouble with Grand Prix tracks is that they are all being mucked up by trying to accommodate F1. Silly chicanes put in to slow them down, create overtaking places (yeah right!) and suit TV camera's. But Silverstone can still be run as it should if the organisers select the "old" circuit for the meeting. Brands Hatch is great (allowing for the fact that they have reworked Dingle Dell (it is alot safer than the old car breaker). Spa is awesome but they couldn't resist changing the Bus stop chicane (just so long you don't get many laps to get it right). Hockenheim, Nurburgring (GP), Assen have good points but lack a bit of soul. Dijon is cool - not changed and has a huge straight up hill. See you tube for the 1979 F1 Renault v Ferrari for 3rd place - 2 laps of the best racing you will ever see!
For 2008 the circus will take us to Barcelona, Monza, Spa, Brands June etc etc - lucky boy eh? One small point - i never win as i am just not quick enough!

I hope I never experience a highside. They look pretty painful, kind of like Wile E. Coyote and his catapult slamming him into the ground. I have come close but somehow managed to ride out the slide. The GP guys make it look easy, just like a flattracker at the Miracle Mile.
I would really like to ride Barber. Its such an awesome facility and I love the elevation changes. According to my friends that have been you need to get in early because classes fill up fast there.

Isn't that the truth!!!!! I signed up one month ago for Barber on April 26th and 27th: well, the 26th of April was already booked up and NESBA sends you an email in case one spot comes available because of a cancellation....so they did, ONCE!!!! at 5am in the night. I got up at 6am, saw the email and immediately tried to sign up. Well that damn spot had already been taken again....so now I am waiting for the next email from NESBA. This Barber must really be something else!!!

I am in love with the whole thing and try to stop in on our way to Atlanta each June. We have been to the museum several times and gone to the AMA Superbike races there. The facility and the grounds are first class.
The track surface is very nice with a variety of turns and elevation changes. You'll have a great time when you get to go.
We got to see Larry Pegram race his 749R in Formula Extreme there last year. The MVs that Fast by Ferracci raced were off the pace but they sounded awesome.

I'd have to go with Miller Motorsports Park since it's the only one I've been on.

I am very curious to poll everyone here as to what/how they would rank the tracks in the midwest/east as I haven't heard of many of the ones mentioned on this post (other than Barber, of course). Your inputs are highly appreciated.

Thanks!
