The best movie of all time

That suggest a psychological problem

Nobody cares about not liking/being disappointed by a film/tune - because it's entertainment = you don't 'have' to watch it (so what if you don't like it)

it's the same as saying you don't want to eat so much chocolate your afraid you might go off it - so what! - there is no nessessity to eat chocolate - see!

next bit might not be so easy for you to swallow

all this suggests that you don't actually like 'the Green mile' at all!

- but liking the green mile (or rather 'pretending' you like it) gives you credibilty (coz lots of people with credibilty like it)

i suggest you forget about being a credible film critic (after all, it's entertainment and should not be taken so seriously) - you have no obligations to 'pretend' to like stuff - just enjoy what you enjoy - life is too short

I love that film:D always suggest it to frienRAB who are sick of watching same story/different title films

It's quite a hard decision as there are so many films I like but I think I'll have to go with E.T as it's such a touching story that never leaves me dry eyed at the end!

What complete and utter tosh!

I suggest that you forget the amateur psychology and take my word that I don't give a stuff about any 'credibility' it may give me.

I'm not one to follow like sheep and if I like something, I don't care whether it's popular with everyone or I'm the only one.

I simply don't want to see it again because I know I won't get the same enjoyment second time round, and want to keep the experience a one-off.

Or maybe you're right and you know more about what I like than I do. Maybe, by your reasoning, I also only pretend to like certain music, food etc to be trendy.

LOL.

There have been so many brilliant films over the years & decades -

Godfather 1 & 2
The Lord of the Rings Trilogy
The Green Mile
The Shawshank Redemption
Taxi Driver
Goodfellas
Casablanca
It's a Wonderful Life
Gone with the Wind

Mission impossible...

...no not the film, I mean it's impossible, for me at least, to name just one film as my best film of all time.

If I had to narrow it down to a list, the most I could reduce it to would be:

Airplane!
Blade Runner
Dark City
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels
Fight Club
Ghost
Gladiator
Godfather
Goodfellas
Grease
Indiana Jones
Minority Report
Mulan Rouge
North by Northwest
Pan’s Labyrinth
Planes, Trains & Automobiles
Prince of Egypt
Pulp Fiction
Star Wars (4, 5, 6)
Terminator
Top Secret!
Trainspotting
True Grit
True Romance
Twelve Monkeys
When Harry Met Sally

Blanche
Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter... and Spring
Wings of Desire
Fight Club
Le Rayon vert
Dead Man
Smoke
Sideways
Mulholland Drive
El Topo
Chinese Roullette
