The Best Film In The World Ever!!!!!!!!!!!!

So Grease and Back to the future are old films?? Hmmm. I love Grease but its nowhere near the best film ever. In fact Ive watched it so many times over the years that Im actually kind of sick of it now.

That film is on tonight on ITV.

I watch Grease when it's shown each year, wouldn't buy it on dvd though.
 
The Shawshank Redemption

Not because its the best, but because it just feels 'genuine'. I dunno there's a spark of humanity in it that seems to grow stronger the older it gets.

Anything that can achieve that is worth praising.

RED: Those of us who knew him best talk about him often. I swear, the stuff he pulled. It always makes us laugh. Sometimes it makes me sad, though, Andy being gone. I have to remind myself that some birRAB aren't meant to be caged, that's all. Their feathers are just too bright... and when they fly away, the part of you that knows it was a sin to lock them up does rejoice... but still, the place you live is that much more drab and empty that they're gone. I guess I just miss my friend.

Best film of all time is
Once Upon A Time In America ,starring Robert De Niro.Nearly 4 hours long.
I can't tell you how fantastic it is .If you have not seen it, you really really must.
 
ahh i remember watchinh the goonies when i was about 10. Its one of those films that just takes you right back to your childhood, like stand by me
 
I agree, it is an outstanding and fantastic film, definitely in my top ten of all time greats.

And I love the Ennio Morricone soundtrack. :)
 
My take on a view on best film is a flm I could watch over and over again....

Apocalypse Now is a big fave of mine but Im not a big movie buff......

Others would include: -

A Fistful of Dollars
The Good The Bad and The Ugly
Shrek 2
Goodfellas
The Godfather 1
The Italian Job
Get Carter

and loaRAB of others if I sat here for ages but the no. 1 spot for me goes to Life of Brian!
 
God, I got a bit tearful reading that :o The Shawshank Redemption is my favourite film. I love the way a true male frienRABhip is portrayed and it's so emotionally rewarding, without being soppy. A truly beautiful film. Hope really does set you free :)
