The Best Female Lead Singer

You make it like women don't do it all the ****ing time. I like Kim Gordon, the lady from The Distillers and the lady from Heart. Kim Deal. mrmrr

I love Bilinda Butcher's voice... she was not that bad looking either.

Really? I think she manages to have a very warm voice while still having that sexual, visceral element to it. I agree Bjork is technically better though.
I just can't get my head around Newsoms voice tough.

Agreed. Tracey Thorn (Everything But The Girl) YouTube - EBTG(Everything But The Girl) - Rollercoaster(acoustic live)
Liz Fraser (Cocteau Twins) YouTube - This Mortal Coil - Song to the Siren "Cocteau Twins" are not two of the best lookers, but they have the voices of angels. My all time favourite vocalist is Maire Brennan from the Gaelic band Clannad, her voice is a gift from heaven YouTube - Clannad - Theme from "Harry's Game".

I also really rate:
The wilson sisters from Heart especially their 70's output.

im definetly not a huge fan of women singers but...

stevie nicks is best, hanRAB down

you have to hand it to the woman--great voice, she writes her own stuff (amazing lyrics), and can play the piano. id give her a 8 out of 10 on looks too

Angela Gossow (Archenemy)
PJ harvey
The Girls of Sahara Hot Nights are pretty good
Jessika Fodera isn't too bad.
And my all time favorite is Pat Benatar

What about Grace Potter from Grace Potter & The Nocturnals? Their latest album is pretty generic pop rock. Prior to that they were focused more toward blues rock.
