You like PJ Harvey and Bjork makes you cringe? O_o

I mean I like PJ Harvey, but I find her voice to be more inaccessible than Bjorks, believe it or not. I'd certainly consider Bjork a better singer.
 
Looking at this thread made me realize I don't listen to many female singers. Wow.

I'd have to say Grace Slick is up there for me though.
 
neither, Stevie Nicks is probably the best women lead singer of a band I could think of... oh and that girl from the Gossip she is awesome!

I really like Fiona Apple but I guess she's not in front of a band. I don't usually like female singers I guess.
 
Cocteau Twins' singer can get grating after a while, but she's got a unique voice and style...I dig it.

I like Stereolab's female vocals, and The Slits, The Raincoats too obv. Patt Smith is a given, and Kim Deal/Gordon are good too (although Gordon has some bad moments).

and of course, Jon Anderson :)
