I was reading the thread on the worst dads of all time and I figured the good ones deserved some love.
Let's see first of there's Splinter from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1980's & 2000's). He may not be the Turtles biological dad, but there is no doubt that he loves them and would do anything for them. He taught them to read, to read as well as how to defend themselves and no matter what happens he's always there for them.
Goofy (Goof Troop/A Goofy Movie/An Extremly Goofy Movie)- He may be a little out there, but he loves is son and is always there. One of the things I love best about Goofy is his self-doubts at being a good father and him trying even harder to be their for Max. The whole point of A Goofy Movie is that he wanted to spend time with Max before he was too grown up and to make sure the he was on the right road in life.
Charles Deetz (Beetlejuice) He might be one of the most nervous and high strunge characters out there, but his love for his litte "pumpkin" is unmistakeable.
There's alot more of them out there so what do you guys say let's give the good dads and father figures a chance to shine.
