I always liked "The Blair Witch Project" poster. I know the film got slated by a lot of people but the marketing of it was very clever.

Beauty and the Beast (1991) - I was six at the time of its release and was apprehensive because I had no idea what the beast would look or be like. I remember seeing the posters in the cinema which had a shadowy outline of Belle and the beast dancing.

Quality of the end film regardless, I still think this teaser for the Phantom Menace is great.

'Reign of Fire' looked pretty cool.
From the poster I thought here was what looked like a big budget epic hollywood style film, but set in this country.

the Alien 3 movie poster teaser was my favourite of all time. i guess this just reflects the anticpation for this movie at the time

earlier designs, which i cant find now, had an egg like image (like the original Alien) with the caption "On Earth, everyone can hear you scream" - which indicated the aliens coming to earth, which was one of the orginal idea for alien 3. pity it all turned to custard though.

The Jaws one is good, a classic imo. I'm thinking of sticking it on my Accounting lecturer's door to wind her up
