The best candidates are Ron Paul and brobama

Ron Paul wouldn't be able to pass his more controversial ideas, so he'd be just fine.. smartest, least slimiest guy in the GOP.

That's kind of where I am with him too. He couldn't build a consensus to save his life and whether Ron Paul fanbois want to deal with it or not you can only get so much (read: almost nothing) done without the support congress. Having good ideas is pretty easy, executing on them is the tough part. Ron Paul never talks about how he'd actually accomplish any of the shit he talks about. He knows he'll never get elected so it doesn't matter, but if Obama can't get stuff done putting an out-there candidate like Ron Paul in is going to make everything worse.

And that's just whether he can do anything. Plenty of his policies I don't agree with, but it's beside the point because if you know someone is going to be ineffectual why even bother considering his proposals?

He doesn't say because he isn't asked. If he asked, I'm sure he wouldn't evade the question. And I'd be an idiot to think Ron Paul's presidency will automatically solve all of our problems. Not even close. His presidential win is just a first step. It's neither the main, nor even the most important one. Just the first.

We need to elect Ron Paul like ppl in Senate, Congress, State Senates and Congresses, Governors, Attorney Generals, all the way to fucking City Hall janitors.

And you're incorrect about not being able to accomplish anything. The Drug war is run by Office of National Drug Control Policy, directly under the President. One stroke of the pen, and that Office is memory. Look at all these other offices that are directly under the president and he can do just about what he wants to with them and doesn't have to answer to Congress.

There are plenty of ways to be effectual.

lol @ "no one asks him"

ONDCP has a budget of 20 million, DEA is 2.3 billion. That's exactly the kind of shit I'm talking about. No thought process towarRAB what happens in a republic full of representatives when you start acting unilaterally. The guy will save a couple of dollars at best and gain a congress that will stone wall him on everything he wants to do. He'll be completely ineffectual, voted out of office with nothing but some peanuts in his pockets, and then they'll go back to making sausages.

I forget who said it and I'm probably butchering the quote but "the only good thing about democracy is it's better than all the alternatives". People are looking for some holy grail. Some ideal situation. No debt, all living in our means, justice across the board, liberty for all, etc, etc. While you're stuck in lah lah land playing around with solutions that don't fit there are people doing real work that actually makes people's lives better. Cheering at Ron Paul on youtube thinking that you're better than a community organizer when if you look at the net impact of your life vs their's you'd go over to your gun pile and cry.

Wait wait wait

WwwwwawaWHAT?

You, the non Ron Paul supporter are accusing ME of looking from some kind of a holy grail? I am the one stuck in the lah lah land? MY solutions do not fit?

I don't know whether to , , or .
A part of me wants to gouge out my eyes and jump into the incoming fucking traffic reading this deluded shit. A non-Ron Paul supporter is accusing me of looking for a holy grail. I am sure you will take this as me admitting defeat. What can I say, logic truly is helpless against insanity.
