The Beatles

Only Ringo was by no means mediocre on drums.

His drumming style was very distinctive at the time. His use of the match grip was not common in rock music at the time, but its standard procedure.

You can recognise Any Beatles song just by hearing the drum part alone.

Personally I think they suck. They have like a couple okay songs, besides that they were just the first boy band. FUC that I will say it THEY SUCK the biggest OVER HYPED OVER CREDITED BAND IN HISTORY! They werent even good at their instruments (compared to TRUE greats Led Zeppelin/Pink Floyd/ HEndrix etc.).

Out of your entire first post there are only 3 sentences which even half way count as backing it up. Seriously, you have lots of people who actually know stuff about music telling you that you're wrong, just get over it.

The Beatles were revolutionary, and while you may not like the music, you have to respect what they did.

Thing is, Let it Be was the very difinition of a patchwork album. It was too obvious that it was just tacked together, it simply sounRAB unfinished.

People criticize The White Album for sounding tacked together too. But thats really only because every song is so vastly different, it sounRAB more like a complilation than what you would expect to hear from a studio album. The White Album had much stronger songs than Let It Bleed, the only song from LIB that is on par with the best White Album tracks is Across the Universe.

I list The Beatles albums in terms of preference like so.

Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
Abbey Road
Revolver
The White Album
Magical Mystery Tour
Rubber Soul
Past Masters, Volume 2
Help!
A Hard Days Night
Past Masters, Volume 1
Please Please Me
With The Beatles
Beatles For Sale
Let It Be… Naked
Yellow Submarine
Let It Be

Rubber Soul
Revolver
Abbey Road
Help!
Magical Mystery Tour
The White Album
With the Beatles
A Hard Days Night
Sgt Peppers
Beatles For Sale
Please Please Me
Yellow Submarine
Meet The Beatles
Let It Me

What caused beatlemania was a fresh perspective and you can attribute that to just john or just paul or just ringo or george but it doesn't matter...the ideas, the music- that's what has stood the test of time.

Helter Skelter is a good song, one of the songs I like least on White Album, but nonetheless a good song.
I more of a John fan myself, hence why I like Happiness and Across the Universe.

I like it all, go back early to some Please Mr. Postman and their Chuck Berry covers, great stuff.

How about: 'Least enjoyed'. It is the Beatles, after all...

I don't have a lot of love for 'Let it Be'. There's some great songs, but the whole thing is disjointed and feels forced. I think you can hear the tension of a band on the edge.

Actually, Ringo helped very little with the songwriting. He sang on just one song per album, and the other three usually had to write it for him.

As previously mentioned by other posters, he was most definitely a mediocre drummer.

led zeppelin isn't as greast as the beatles.
and the beatles didn't invent music. and you've been haning out with the wrong people if they think that
