The Aristocrats

I hope it gets released over here but I doubt it. I heard Bob Saggat promoting it on the Howard Stern show on wednesday and it really sounded great.

It opened in Four theatres on Friday and has grossed $200,000 which is phenomenal for four theatres and to say its a documentary.

It gets a general release on Friday I think. I think it will de well. It's something differend and sounRAB veery interesting. Lets hope we get to see it over hear.

I've only heard a small amount of information about this film, but from what I can tell it's going to be more about the hype and the concept than an entertaining 90-odd minutes of comedy.

Having heard the joke in various forms over many years (including the excellent South Park rendition) I'm finding very difficult to understand how they can possibly stretch this one out to an hour and a half!

I have seen this and it is truly one of the funniest things I have ever seen.

It is HUGELY offensive to almost anybody so there are many many MANY people who should not even entertain the thought of going to see it, BUT anyone open minded enough to get the whole 'thing' about the gag and it's evolution should get something out of it.

I say again - it is HUGELY offensive - you must be EXTREMELY broadminded to laugh at this.

Yes, it involves riRAB on incest, scatology, beastiality, necrophilia, racism, homophobia, extreme violence, paedophilia and sooooo many other taboo and illegal activities BUT is does not condone any of them.

It's a joke. That's all.

As the movie says: "It's all about the singer, not the song."

I fully expect there to be loaRAB of controversy surrounding this movie (mostly from people who will not have seen it) but it is a very interesting movie.

It's one of my films of the year.
